Tried the ribs on my first visit here. Good flavor, cooked thoroughly but a bit tough. There’s a large gathering at the event center and these might have been rushed.
Deserts here are excellent.
Pulled pork sandwich fye 🔥 potato salad good asl baked beans off the chain
Nope!
The sides are great! The roll is good!
The ribs??? I think they was cooked yesterday and forgotten overnight but still served today. Im from Texas , I admit my expectations may be a little high but to not even come close is an over statement. Dry, Dry, Dry and dusty if you can bite them off the bone. I thought maybe it was the cook since its Wednesday but I called and Jim is there. He let them walk out the door like that! I ordered it through tupelo 2go. I won't be getting ribs there thats for sure!
Food is really good. Loved the pulled pork chops. I'm not a fan of acidic coleslaw.
However I really liked Jim's. Not over powering and well balanced with some sweetness.
Wonderful BBQ and some of the friendliest people you will ever meet!
A+ all around.

We went to this restaurant because we had eaten there back a few years ago during Blue Suede Cruise and enjoyed it. Today was not good. I ordered a hamburger plate with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw. The hamburger and fries were good but the slaw was rotten. It tasted rancid. The pulled pork and sliced chicken that were ordered by my husband and son were very dry. The potato salad and beans and French fries were good but they said the meat was dry and chewy. Really disappointed. The restaurant did not look that clean.
Fix your posted hours!! Drove out of my way to come here last Thursday. It was 530pm when I arrived, hours say closes at 6, but place was closed, two white trucks parked in rear. Found another BBQ spot in town that was open... BBQ by Jim was a waste of my time.
I ordered from Jim's today and it was dry and very costly. The bbq plate I ordered was awful. Don't waste your money. My dog wouldn't even eat the bbq sandwich I bought her. $35 dollars I could have saved.

Was there for lunch while on a motorcycle ride from LA week of 4th of July 2023. Best ribs hands down I ever had! Jim and his staff are very friendly and had a lot of Elvis stories. Secluded little quaint restaurant in the heart of old down town. Highly recommend!

The food and friendly service are why you come here. Four of us, and two were Italians, loved the food we got. It's kind simple, but that's what makes it good. We all left with fat happy bellies.
