Picked up takeout for a family meal. The place was busy but our food was ready promptly. Unfortunately, this was the worst BBQ meal I’ve ever had. The pulled pork had NO smoke flavor, the beans were candy sweet, and the slaw tasted like it was coated with milk and mayo with no other seasoning. My mom got the brisket; it was very salty and dry.
This is barbecue for people afraid of real barbecue. You pull up to a BBQ joint, you expect to see smoke stains and a roiling smokestack cooking up succulent pork. You won’t find that here.

Well let me see where to start. I had a mobile order for a rib tip plate with baked beans and Mac and cheese. I got it to work and open the container and wasn't impress at all. The Mac and cheese had no flavor. Baked beans was lacking also. The rib tips look like they was the bottom scraps of a container mostly fat and grizzle. This will be my last time I come to Bishops. This is by far my worst food experience. The service was good because all they had to do was give me my bag. So I'm strictly rating this on food.

Got the rib tips, green beans, and fried okra. As far as barbecue goes, it was good. For the price, though, it was amazing. Very fair prices, which is nice to find. Sauces were good as well. Very friendly employees. Enjoyed my lunch!

Just had the pulled pork plate, husband had the s andwich with fried mushrooms. I had the Mac n cheese and gator fries. My granddaughters had the grilled cheese and shrimp Po boy!!! I also ordered some fried green tomatoes!!!! It was awesome!!!!!!!

The exterior & interior is neither attractive nor inviting. Thankfully, though, the food is top notch (Cole slaw is to die for!) and the service is always excellent, fast, & friendly.
*Sure wish they HADN'T CLOSED their Saltillo location; I'd frequent Bishop's TWICE as much if Bishop's was still in Saltillo!

Not excessively priced. Great food. great people. Will be returning . This was my second visit within a week.
I got the blackened chicken breast plate and it wasn’t cooked thoroughly also it had no taste and came sitting in what looked like water! Baked beans were great and Mac and cheeses was okay! I should have said something but I didn’t! The last time I hate here it was not good so I waited awhile e fire I went back and guess what still not good! Lost my business and my coworkers also

Stopped in during Memorial Day during our road trip. We have been trying different barbecues and so far this has been my least favorite. The prices were very good and everyone was extremely kind and nice in terms of barbecue. Everything fried was very soggy and extremely greasy. Sauced were okay, but prices were great!
