El Agave Mexican Grill - Tupelo

The food is good. The serv6 is mediocre at best. The atmosphere is horrible. It's loud and obnoxious, hard to talk over all the other people in the room.

The food was excellent!!!! Thank you so very much!!!! The young girl at the food pickup actually turned to this customer that had just walked in from the patio ) without speaking to me at all that had already been standing there right in front of her - as I was standing and waiting beside the customer in line before me to get his food.
I was actually stunned because it was so obvious the diss to me
that I was already standing and waiting.

After she checked every bag for the customer that had just walked in without finding her order,
I then stepped one step forward and spoke my name and she immediately knew which one was my order and handed it to me.

I’ve never had this to happen previously at this restaurant or encountered this young lady working there. Obviously, it was very rude behavior on both the worker and the lady that knew she came in & was behind me in line. I didn’t actually say a word about it at the time, but was so glad to get my order and to see how wonderfully made my order was!!!! Thank you again to those who prepared my order!!!!! I appreciate you!!!!

All the food was delicious and made in a timely manner. Someone greeted me at the door and the to go guy checked to make sure all the food was inside.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Tupelo. Personally, I think they have the best chips and cheese dip in town. The Chile Colorado is one of my favs. I like their steak tacos, as well. They have great portion sizes for their prices. Service is usually great. If I am having a drink, I like to get 1/2 Strawberry Daiquiri & 1/2 Pina Colado Daquiri w/ whipped cream on top. Whether I choose dining in or order to go, they always meet or exceed my expectations.

My husband and I just moved to Tupelo from Memphis area. We eat Mexican food every Friday night and we were so excited to find El Agave here. The food and service is even better! His tacos had so much beef in them they were overflowing. My margarita was fantastic! And I left my togo box on the table by accident and the waiter chased us down in the parking lot to give it to me! We will be back every Friday.

I ordered online, paid, confirmation texts, all the things. Ready at 5:07PM. Drove 12 miles from my home to pickup, was there at 5:03pm, You were CLOSED!! I am out $31.42. If you are closing for a holiday, you should update your ONLINE Ordering to reflect that information and not accept orders.

I called the next day and talked with the manager. He immediately apologized for the confusion and refused my purchase price. Their food IS great, in house service is always good, and I will be visiting them again.

I come all the time! 10/10! Never a dull moment.

My bartender Noah was excellent. He kept me laughing I had an organic margarita and walk me down mixed to perfection. I suggest coming during lunch and having the half order nachos fajitas mixed! I recommend this location to anyone looking for great service friendly faces and awesome food.

I came with my family. 3 kids, 2 adults.
They were very accommodating. The atmosphere is great! Food is amazing.
My only issue I have was the music was too loud for my liking. I have ear issues so it wasn’t good for me. Other than that, 10/10 would come again.
Food has a very big portion when you order.

This place has great food and the portions are large so be mindful when ordering. I rated it lower on atmosphere because I did a pickup and didn't really spend much time inside, but its really nice inside.

Me my bf and my two daughters ate there for the first time and it’s one of the best on my list now. We’ve traveled from coast to coast sooo that’s a huge statement to make top of our list. The food and service are amazing!!!!!

A wonderful experience with food, service and atmosphere. We go through Tupelo a few times a year and this will be our go to place for dinner. We highly recommend this to anyone who loves good mexican food, margaritas, and a good atmosphere!!!
