I can’t imagine a trip to Tupelo without a visit to Johnny’s Drive In. We ate inside, but there is outdoor and in car dining as well. I can just imagine Elvis eating here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is good and the decor is simple wonderful.

I have been eating here at “Tupelo’s Oldest Restaurant” for most of my life. This is a very small retro style drive in with very limited parking and very limited inside and counter seating. The depression era recipe Johnny (dough) burger is my go to order. It is fantastic, and if you happen to have a grandmother from the depression like I do, it tastes like her old times fried burgers. If you want food still prepared as it was in the 40s and 50s, this is a must stop. From...
