The place has been reopened as Mr. Terry's. Delicious real southern food. Great ambiance and friendly service. Must visit if you're in Tupelo or Verona, or just going by on the highway. And you have to sign the Elvis wall.

Different main item each weekday. Oh so delicious.

SOU-THERN. I asked a local where to eat, and they said, "Oh, Ms. Ruth's has got a great buffet. Lemme call 'em for ya an' see if they got any food left." This super gal picks up the phone, calls Ruth's, and then tells us, "They are almost closed, but they'll stay open for ya." The vibe of this place is a ten. The food was an 8, but I am rating the tail end of the buffet. I am almost certain this place would get a 10 from me if I got there earlier. The baked chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, full of flavor, and low on grease. The green beans were wonderful. The hominy was good. I NEVER eat chocolate cake, but I tried a bite of my mom's and had to get my own bowl. It was a homemade deliciousness that everyone should experience. Apparently, Elvis has some connection here, because hey ton of people from all over the world had written comments about Elvis on the wall, and there's a giant poster of Elvis on the outside of the building. If you are a Yelper passing through during the brief time they are open, I highly recommend stopping in for a lunch from Ruth's. Especially if it's on the earlier side of the brief time they are open.

Try the chocolate cobbler. Down it with a large glass of sweet tea.
