This place is now The Gin. It's under new ownership and is doing great. It's newly remodeled, has some old staff and new but all with friendly and fast service. This is a great place to go for just a drink or a drink and meal. The menu reflects the stea with local favorites as well as comfort food. Don't pass up the opportunity to go for a night out. The bartender Alison is very good at what she does and will make your drinks for you fast and friendly.

Older western-themed decor in a bar and grill type atmosphere. There is a lounge area as well as a dining area. Service was spotty and confused even though there seemed to be plenty of staff. Staff was friendly and helpful when approached, but they definitely had to be approached to attend to our needs. Food took a bit long to come out (35 minutes) and was luke-warm. The food definitely seems like it would be great when hot, but that wasn't our experience. The onion rings are the hand-battered flour type, which is a big plus for me. Just wish they had been hot. It was odd when paying cash, they would only give me change to the even dollar. They said they "round up" your bill to the next dollar. Only a few cents but why do that? They also do a Sunday lunch "buffet" type deal with a meat and three which is pretty good. After all the great reviews on this place about dinner, we had to try it. I would say give it a try. I will try again and hope the food will be hot. It seemed like it would be amazing when fresh from the kitchen.

Food and atmosphere is always great but getting take out can be hit or miss. The last several times ive gotten it to go, something of our meal was left out and we had to drive back for it.
I’m new in the area and someone recommended this restaurant and I’m SO GLAD that they did because I REALLY enjoyed the OUTSTANDING food, SUPERB customer service, MARVELOUS atmosphere and VERY convenient parking. I had the Sunday buffet. The fried chicken was absolutely SPECTACULAR, the mashed potatoes and gravy was SUCCULENT, the turnip greens and Mexican cornbread muffin was so TANTALIZING, the strawberry shortcake was DELICIOUS and I could just keep on drinking ENDLESS episodes of the DELICIOUS half tea/half lemonade ?. I will most CERTAINLY be eating here on a regular basis for sure. ?
