We came here due to reviews and the interesting concept. Located in the back of a retail store, The Vine Collection, it can be easy to miss. The staff is welcoming and helpful, the food fabulous, and the dessert cakes were over thd top. If we lived in Tupelo this would be a regular stop.

After reading reviews online, we decided to try Sweet Tea and Biscuits while passing through Tupelo. Its actually behind another business and can be a little tricky to locate. Also, GPS took us to a totally wrong location first. You order and pay at the counter. Your food is brought to your table. We tried the trio salad plate and the pork tenderloin sandwich. Both were so good! We bypassed the delicious looking desserts because we were heading to a wedding, but they were tempting. They also sell other items for take out. They seem to update their Facebook page daily with the specials of the day. Service was great and the restaurant was clean. Hope to try this place again when passing through the area.

We wanted to try somewhere “southern”. The parking is a disaster. The restaurant was in the pack of a craft mall or booths of boutique offerings. There were so many tables for the space that it was difficult to walk. They had real cloth table clothes. You order at a counter to the side and in the back and find a table. There were ladies playing card games. There was a sorority having a meeting. This was unclear upon arrival. The prices were in the $12-$15 per person before a drink. Sodas are in a can and priced individually. There are refills on sweet tea and water. The portions were large. This seemed out of place considering all of the customers were ladies. We all took half of our lunch home and ate another meal.
They were out of numerous things on the menu. I was looking forward to lima beans, which was the side with my entree. They were one of many things they did not have. The meatloaf was great! The potatoes were also good. The macaroni and cheese was so-so. I thought the primary taste of it was salt water. Others in my group of five ate it. No one commented about how good it was. The sandwiches were large and served with a surprise slice of water melon. We tried what three ladies said were their best pies. The chocolate pie was nice. The buttermilk pie good as well. It was our first experience with buttermilk pie and there isn’t anything where I am from to compare it to. If you like pie, you will like these. They weren’t over -the- top great, but they were good. The sweet tea was well received. The homemade biscuits were not what I had hoped for. If it is in your name, it should be amazing. I would choose a biscuit from KFC over these in a blind taste test all day.

An affordable and affordable little salad and sandwich place at the back of a shop that is equally as adorable. Try it out if you're passing through-- this is where the locals go for good food.

Nice atmosphere- small tables to seat 2 to 6. Excellent place for lunch. Large portions. There are always several specials each day from quiche, vegetable plate, soup and sandwich, salads and tasty desserts. You place your order at the counter and get a number to place at your table. The friendly staff bring you your food quickly. Lots of frozen casseroles to take home to bake later- spaghetti chicken, chicken enchiladas, macaroni and cheese, etc. The new boutique store in the same building should be open soon. Will be a great place to spend a fun afternoon.

Ordered the fried catfish poboy and was very disappointed. I could only eat half because it had a terrible taste and did not taste like MS fresh farm raised catfish as advertised.

Sweet Tea and Biscuits has been a go-to spot for me every time I come home to Tupelo on leave from the military. This place is more than just a restaurant—it’s like sitting down for a meal with family. The food is everything you’d expect from wonderful Southern home cooking: hearty, flavorful, and made with care.

Whether it’s their fried chicken, fluffy biscuits, or perfectly sweet tea, every bite feels like a warm hug from home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff always treats you like family. Where I’m stationed they don’t have food like they do here back home so it’s a nice breath of fresh air coming here.

I have so many fond memories of Sweet Tea and Biscuits from before I joined the military, and every visit brings me right back to those cherished times. It’s become a tradition to stop here whenever I’m back in town, and it never disappoints. If you’re looking for authentic Southern cooking and a place that feels like home, this is it!
