I ate the fried oysters and they were cooked perfectly. Friend had the catfish basket and he got 4 nice size fillets. These also were cooked perfectly. Enjoyed our lunch and no complaints

Host had attitude. We were lied to. Never got refills. Didn’t get my extra eggs I paid for. Our crab was overcooked. And the manager got an attitude when we ask for the ticket to be made right. Saying the server, who lied, has been there several years and didnt lie to us. Lost some very frequent customers!

Firstly the waitress that led us in didn’t seem to have any warmth or hostess skills. I don’t know if it was just a bad day but it was at least amusing. She threw the menus on the table and walked away, didn’t say a word or look.
I liked that it was very quiet and nice decor but you don’t really get much service, if you want something you have to find someone. But the waiter was nice.
Now the food is the reason for the review. The starter, we had a taster platter and the food was so bland. The batter on everything was a little undercooked and looked anemic.
The main was so bad. I ordered garlic butter and it just tasted like pure salt. I love lots of salt on everything try thing but this was unbearable.

I use to love Madden crab a few months ago because it was very fresh, had great flavor, and left wanting more. Lately the last 3 months that I’ve been its been more watery and less seasoned. Also the crab legs taste a old and not cooked enough.

I wasn’t there for this visit, but this is my family we’re talking about — and I know they’re not the type to exaggerate or cause a scene. The way they were treated at Madden Crab in Tupelo is ridiculous and completely unacceptable. When you spend hundreds of dollars somewhere, the least you expect is decent service and a little respect. For a manager to argue over a $5 dessert and defend an employee who flat-out refused to help customers is wild. It’s not about the pie — it’s the principle. If that’s how they handle loyal customers, I can promise you my family and I won’t be back either.

We stopped here after a late-night football game. We arrived just before 10pm, and it was advertised that they close at 11. However, upon arrival, the hostess had to check to see if we could be served because they stop serving food at 10. Luckily, we were able to order seafood boils, and they were hands down some of the best I have ever had! I had the shrimp and sausage and my husband had one with crab too. Our server was one of the kindest people we've ever met. He was so polite and accommodating and I wish I would have caught his name.
