The food was good but overpriced for what we ate. The staff was friendly but slow. We were not offered bread or water upon being seated and had to inquire about the bread after asking for it to be brought to the table. The bathrooms are in dire need of a remodel.

We got there early went to bar are had drinks service and drinks was awesome then table was ready and service and food was great one of the best date nite that we have had was our first time and we will definitely be back

This was our first time at Woodys and we enjoyed it. The waitress was very nice and we never had to ask for refills or anything, she checked on us often. The food was decent but nothing just spectacular.

I was raised in Tupelo and last week I was in town to visit for several days, for the first time in as many years. I ordered my filet a Pittsburg medium and it came out cooked perfectly. How many restaurants have you ever been in that even knowns how to cook a steak Pittsburg medium-rare or medium? I'll wait why you think of somewhere. They are famous for their Prime Rib! My friend has celiac disease and the owner stopped by the table and shocked her by explaining that they offer most items on the menu as gluten free. She had cornbread for the first time in years and her food was also excellent. If you want an old fashion steakhouse that is a city institution, then by all means stop in Woody's and discover why it is legendary.

As always the food was great. We arrived 40 minutes for reservation time and they worked us in right away despite having a full restaurant. They had a large group that caused a slight delay but nothing out of the ordinary. Gotta show a little grace when house is full. Will definitely be back. The shrimp appetizer was spot on along with the filet. Side were great.

We go to Woody's several times a year. We save this restaurant for our birthdays, anniversaries, and sometimes just because. Our favorite restaurant for a great meal. As usual, they did not disappoint. Our evening could not have been better. Our server was right on time, martinis, perfect and the steaks cooked to perfection and tasty.

Food was decent but service was slow. We knew about the automatic gratituty but the waitress calculated the gratuity on the total including tax. Gratuity is supposed to be based off the total minus tax. Probably won't be back.

I don't understand how this place gets such good reviews. While our server was great, the hostess was rude. Most importantly, the food was expensive and inedible. I ordered a 12oz ribeye medium rare, and received a piece of animal that was pretty much raw, and which was about 75% gristle and fat. My mom ordered the same thing but received a very flat piece of meat that was overcooked in some parts and raw in others, and again, about 75% gristle and fat. Each plate was $38!! I left hungry. I regularly eat ribeye steaks and know what a decent ribeye looks and tastes like. This. Was. Not. It. Lastly, the cloth napkins *reeked* of laundry detergent or softener, which totally interfered with the smell of the food. It was an unpleasant sensory experience. I will never eat here again.

Food was decent, service was slow despite not being busy. We were a party of 6 so gratuity was automatic at 20% but the waitress figured with tax included, which is wrong. Paper table clothes which is cheap for a nice steakhouse.
