Awesome breakfast and friendly service

Lucivan Junior.

I stayed at the Inn at Ole Miss and had breakfast at McCormick’s. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the wait times were long—for ordering, getting the food, and paying the check. Not the server’s fault—she was doing a great job—but she was handling at least eight tables alone at 7:30 a.m. on a Tuesday. They really need a second server during busy hours. That said, I still recommend the place, maybe it’s better for lunch or dinner.

I stopped in for breakfast this morning, and I must say it was a pleasant experience all the way around. I ordered the good little breakfast. I had crispy bacon 🥓, eggs 🍳 scrambled with cheese 🧀, cheese grits, and a biscuit with apricot jelly. To drink I had a coffee ☕️. In fact I had about four cups. All of the food was good. I requested crispy bacon, and they nailed it. The cheese grits were a bit mediocre, as it was just plain grits with shredded cheese on top. I prefer grits that are creamy, but these were a good average grit. I would have expected them to use a little heavy cream when cooking them. My waitress was friendly, however Jayla, the other waitress working, was very friendly and talkative. She is a recent graduate from the University. A talkative employee gives an old time diner feel to me. It’s something that is hard to find nowadays. The place was full, but my waitress was very attentive. She was quick to refill my coffee ☕️. Check this place out if you want good food and great service.

Breakfast is consistently good here. Lunch has been fine but I heard the menu was changing or has changed and I haven’t tried that. Service is good. Restaurant is clean! Good selection of food on the menu!

This place is understaffed!! We have been several times on gameday and the morning after. The restaurant is full and they only have one or two waiters. Waiter was crying because she was so stressed. Don't eat here on home game weekends!!

I went here back in May 2022 with my parents. The service was REALLY slow and our server, Elysia, acted like she didn’t care too much. We gave her the benefit of the doubt because it was graduation weekend and busy. Flash forward to today, I decided to give this place a second chance because the food was good. We had Elysia as our server again. It took about 15 minutes before we were brought menus and water. Took another 10 minutes to place our order. Then we waited an hour for our food to be brought to the table. She brought the check and after waiting about 15 minutes for her to come pick it up, I decided to just go pay at the bar. We will not be coming back.

The Inn at Ole Miss has a great location on the Ole Miss campus and friendly staff. Rates were similar to other hotels in the area. Breakfast in the McCormick's restaurant was not included with the room, but the food and service were beyond our expectations!

I was in Oxford last weekend for a friends wedding and a few us decided to stop and grab drinks at McCormick’s for drinks. I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and the restaurant and hotel were beautiful. But the highlight of our dining experience was our server Evan! He was so kind, professional, and represented the establishment better than anyone in there. A sweet fellow who deserves a raise no doubt. If I come back, it’s for him!

The check in staff was friendly and helpful. Construction was going on in the lobby and there were a lot of workers around. Once we got to our room I smelled a musty smell around the sink area next to the mini fridge. The mini fridge contained food items from the previous guests. I went back to check in to make sure they gave us the correct room . While they were cleaning out the fridge, we explored the pool area. The pool area looked neglected and the water was dark? I don’t know what was the deal there. When I went to shower, the handle fell off when I tried to turn it on. The only good thing about hotel restaurant was the half price wine. If you’re hungry, go somewhere else. The waitress got orders mixed up along with the cards they were using. What is mess! I don’t know why hotels don’t routinely check the rooms to make sure everything is functioning properly and clean.

Nice and friendly server, less than mediocre food. Avoid the Caesar salad and the fried chicken fingers.
