I LOVE going here for amazing vegan sushi options! I have only had the vegetarian/vegan sushi options at this restaurant, but my vegan friend and I both rave about all of the options and the taste is amazing! We have come here 3 times already because it is so good. Vegan options for sushi rolls currently include sweet potato, vegetable, asparagus, and avocado rolls. They also have both low sodium and regular soy sauce at every table, and the service has always been wonderful/very attentive.

We really enjoyed this place. The place is really a Japanese grill. They have the sushi selection around vicksburg. If your feel Japanese go to Atami j

The fish was pretty fresh, decent portion sizes. The drink selection was very limited though and our server only provided 1 fork and 1 napkin for the two of us. I had to request chopsticks, and it felt like they assumed we wouldn't know how to use them. Not a fan of people making assumptions like that.

Went here for lunch service was slow because I was with others, rolls were good but did not advertise that crab was imitation so it was bland but overall a good experience no wait and if you’re in Vicksburg eat here because it’s probably one of the best places to eat if you see a place called china buffet do not eat there it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had

First time trying. The service was excellent and food was delicious. Already planning our next trip.

Atami has been slowly decreasing the quality of their food (and service) for quite a while now. My dinner there tonight was the final nail in the coffin however. Our server would only serve us from one side of the table, even though there was plenty of room for them to come around to take people’s orders and deliver the food. The people closer to his side had to pass down heavy plates of hot food, this is very awkward and forces anxiety on the customer unnecessarily. The server also did not give us one item we asked for because they could not hear me from the far side of the table.

I am thankful I did not order sushi, because I saw one person behind the sushi bar dip their finger into a refill container of pink sauce and then PROCEED TO LICK HIS BARE FINGER AND CONTINUE TO HANDLE FOOD PREP ITEMS WITHOUT WASHING THEIR HANDS. I asked our server to grab the manager, the server brought over someone who was clearly a go-between for the customers and management. And then the manager talked to the Finger Licker right in front of me. So now Finger Licker knows my face. If I wasn’t already permanently repulsed, now I really can’t go back.

It wasn't bad. I ate the food. Sushi was really good. The main meal wasn't anything to write home about. Like it's fine but it definitely wasn't worth $30. Also it's not hibachi like you think it is. It's just a sit down restaurant. They don't cook it in front of you and do a show or anything.

Being from out-of- town this was my first visit. The reviews drew me here hoping for a “good” sushi experience. My wife is Japanese & we’ve traveled throughout Japan & eaten remarkable sushi so I have to adjust my expectations. I had a spicy sushi roll combo & it was average. The fish was minced so uniformly fine is was like puree paste to the degree that it lost lthe distinctive flavor of salmon, tuna, Hamachi. My wife had the 9-piece sushi set. She enjoyed her’s more than I did, saying the fish was nice size pieces but didn’t have wasabi. Our waiter was soft spoken. Though not Japanese, I believe to be Hispanic, he spoke minimal English and knew little about sushi. We paid a reasonable price, low $20s per person.
