Beechwood Restaurant & Lounge

As always, we did enjoy our time there along with the food. The staff was very friendly. The service was good. The only downfall to our evening is that I was double charged for an alcoholic drink, When we had only received one drink of that particular type. I did not look at my ticket until the next day which by then it was too late to even worry about calling about because we had already left town.

First time visiting with a friend who knew the place. The food was great and the service with a smile. I'll be dog gone if I didn't eat everything they served from a big ole steak to grilled shrimp and fried crawfish tails. Everything was delicious and served hot. Very impressed with the lay up of the restaurant and liked the back room with the small dance floor. Will DEFINITELY be going back for the great food and service.

Large bar atmosphere. I am traveling and came to watch the Mariners game 7. All Tvs had MNF on for the packed local crowd, but they put the game on for us! The Beechwood salad was fantastic.

Bar restaurant, really busy. Locals favorite. Enjoyed watching football, beer and steaks! Took an hour to receive food, the only downside.

Food was good. However, we were overcharged on a few things. First off, I came into the restaurant to make a to-go order, but I was charged a convenience fee...convenient how? I didn't do the order from Toast myself. If I'm in your restaurant, why are you charging me extra fees? Second, I was charged extra $2.50 for a loaded baked potato with NO bacon. However, if you just order the baked potato with those same ingredients (cheese, sour cream, and chives) it's not an extra $2.50, because it's not a loaded baked potato. I can prove that by doing the order myself online. 2 stops thru this town, and 2 different restaurants. Both charged us b.s. fees! Seems like an unlikely coincidence these podunk town restaurants feeding off of unsuspecting pass-thru travelers. So watch your bill if you order anything from any restaurant in Vicksburg,

Awesome steak,, wife had the beechwood classic , filet with catfish a wedge salad and baked potato,, she said it was very good,, I had the 12 oz ribeye with baked potato and side salad ,, also awesome.. plan on the cost but we think it was worth it,, we will be back

We had the 16oz ribeye and being the ultimate food snob where steaks are concerned, they knocked it clean out of the park (perfect cook, seasoned). The wedge salad was amazing, the service was outstanding.

Food is very good, service is slow, the wait staff doesn't seem to pay much attention to you, and cleanliness is horrible - food on the floor, tables are dirty, etc. I've been there multiple times while here on business, and this time they didn't even wipe down the chairs or clean the food underneath the table after having to ask them to wipe the table down before I sat.

I can't go back. Too dirty. Yuck!

I went to Beechwood Restaurant & Lounge after hearing good things about it, specifically their steak, and it was a big letdown. The service was not great; our server seemed overwhelmed, never refilled some drinks, and some of the food came out incorrectly. Sometimes we went over 20 minutes without seeing our server.

From seating to receiving food took just under two hours, which is insane. The steak was not good at all. It was cooked to temperature, however, it significantly lacked flavor and tasted more sweet than anything. A friend ordered a burger and didn't finish half of it because it was not good at all. I wanted this place to live up to the hype, but it certainly did not. Do not come here if you are expecting your food in under an hour; there are better places out there.

The building is old and a little run down but we were told it's the best and the highest to eat a steak in the area. The fried mushrooms were decent. Had to much batter and fried a little too much.
We got our steaks a 16 0unce and a 12. Good size. And they were cooked right. I took my first bite and said this is a good steak. But that's the only bite I was able to eat. The rest of that steak was a tough as boot leather. I have had my share of great and bad steaks but never have I had a good first bite and the rest was unbeatable. I felt like I was trying to cut a log with that steak knife. I passed it to my husband and he could bite I to it. His had several tough pieces but was able to eat it. It was a lot better than mine. I told the waitress and she just made a pouting face and didn't say a word not one word!!
So we will not be going back again. That was our first and last time..we spent a $120.00 tip and all. I normally leave 18 percent but she got more than she deserved!!
