Looking for a home cooked meal/restaurant while passing through Vicksburg Mississippi and came across this gem. Almost missed it because restaurant sign next to road is only on one side, the side NOT facing me as I drove by, lol. No frill small hangout for the locals living around there, so don't expect curtains or any decorations on wall. Meal was served on a Styrofoam plate with plastic ware BUT THE FOOD was to die for. I had beef tips over rice and husband had chicken, each with 2 sides and a drink for $10 even. Both chicken and beef were so tender that they just melt in your mouth and were very delicious. Had to find out who chef was; she was a bubbly fine lady called Brenda and her help was William. Such warm friendly people who can chat up a storm with hearty laughs. Made us feel good while eating there and definitely feel like you are eating at your friends home. Will definitely go back if we ever pass by there again. Fun fact, they don't have a menu, you got 2 choices of what they are serving for the day ? but Brenda can certainly cook up some great Southern food.
