Lovely place to have a nice meal in Vicksburg. Wait staff is very friendly, food is good especially the desserts and rolls. Very pleasant.

Fabulous location, quiet and very friendly people all around. Food was very well presented and simple menu that gave every one of us choices. Not rushed at anytime and very attentive when needed but not pressured. Enjoyed the experience

We enjoyed a wonderful meal! The Seabass was the star of the show second only to the rolls ;)

The Shrimp and Grits was excellent, the pork loin was also outstanding but its sides were not hot - only warm. They did a nice job of putting a kids meal together.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Ate in the Library and it was so peaceful and elegant. The rolls are outstanding. Service was great and food wonderful.

Elegant property on the National Register of Historic Places, and the onsite restaurant is very fine.We both had the asparagus bisque, which was quite good and the paneed catfish(a battered frying technique which can also be used for chicken or veal) also very good.Great experience.

My husband and I are at Anchuca tonight food was delicious! Outstanding service! We had the roasted pork chop sweet potatoes, and string beans, I had the filet mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. We shared the bonzo pie and both had a drink! Will definitely be back!

Our dinner experience was the best. The staff were very team oriented and polite. They were so helpful to us in choosing our entrees for the evening. The library room was perfect and well decorated for the period of time. My wife really enjoyed the selected window treatments. Our meal was excellent and the presentation was over the top. We did enjoy our stay and look forward to a return trip. Katy and Mike Brown

I had the pleasure of dining in the library with the former owner of Anchuca, so it was a wonderful experience from the start. Musts are to start with seafood chowder or asparagus bisque, but make sure to save room for dessert! Service was pleasant and timely and Ms. Tammy was an added bonus to a great staff.

Very kind staff. Very good food, specifically the shrimp and grits, but all of their menu is fantastic. There is a fan outside if it's too warm out so we had that on and it was perfect! Thank you, Anchuca!

My husband and I had spent the previous week with our grandkids eating crap like pizza fried chicken etc so we wanted a “good” meal. We got it. We started with a bowl of the seafood chowder. It was served piping hot and was delicious. I had the filet. Asked for it rare and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the salmon special which was really good as well. The green bean sides were just crunchy enough for me and well flavored. We had the peach cobbler for desert and it was delicious. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Food was excellent and the service was great.

The ambience was really pretty. We sat in the library of the old house. The seafood chowder was great! Really tasty & full of lovely fishy bits .. the pork chops & sweet potato were too sweet for our liking though..

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and great service. Would recommend but keep in mind it is pricey. The desserts we tried were all awesome. The bread pudding was out of this world and so was the Bonzo pie. The steak was super tinder and green beans were delicious!

The food was very disappointing. We ordered the surf and turf, medium rare for $52. The steak arrived well done with very little seasoning. The shrimp were small to medium size. The service was more on the line of a café rather than fine dining. It's a beautiful home and we enjoyed eating in the library.

We ate Sunday brunch in the Library room of the Anchuca on our last day in Vicksburg. The Library is in the main house, among all the historic furniture and decor. The other seating option was in the Cafe, which also appeared nice, but not quite the same experience. Anyway, I'm glad we chose the Library, because the atmosphere and the service was 5 star, no question about it. The only reason I deducted 1 star was that the brunch menu was really more of a lunch menu, not an egg in sight. But it did come with 3 courses" salad, main and desert (my peach cobbler and ice cream was yum!). I ended up getting the meatloaf, with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Food was very good, but it was just too heavy for 11 am, and I ended up taking most of it to go. They did have shrimp and grits, which I regret not ordering, but I was disappointed that there was not more breakfast-leaning options, like eggs benedict, or hangtown fry, or a breakfast hash. To me, brunch indicates a mix of both breakfast and lunch options. Anyway, from what I understand, the brunch menu is not posted online because it changes frequently, so maybe I just went on a day where nothing on the menu really appealed to me. I will try again another day, as long as I can dine in the Library.
