Asked a group of people at a casino where the best place to eat in Vicksburg, and 3 of them answered at the same time, "Rusty's!" After eating there, I can see why it was their automatic response-- the food was amazing!

If you go for no other reason - go for the fried green tomatoes!! But there are so many more reasons to go - the service (Jessica was so amazing to us today), the food, the atmosphere 10/10! We had Fried Grouper, Onions Rings, Grilled Shrimp, Grilled Scallops - everything was so so tasty! Oh goodness that Strawberry cream cheese pie was out of this world! What a great visit!

We were in town this weekend for a dance competition. Saturday night after the competition just about all of the attendees ended up coming to dine here, which most likely resembled the theatre scene in Gremlins. Tired and hungry parents and children flooded your restaurant with large parties, separate checks and probably high demands. Y’all absolutely delivered!! The server was fast and efficient even beyond the task at hand . The kitchen was killing it putting out food to the large parties in a timely manner it was still hot! Did I mention how great the food tasted?! 🤌🤌 I would like to thank the entire staff from the front door, the bar (those margarita’s were just what I needed😂) the servers, the bussers and the kitchen for handling your business👏👏 Also, sorry to any locals and regulars whose quiet night out we may have disrupted. Why would someone who isn’t a big seafood fan eat here? Because the burger was delicious!! After visiting a few local sites, decided to hop over for a late lunch. Service was superb, fries were crispy and the sweet tea hit the spot. Desserts looked delicious too, but I was stuffed. Maybe next time.

I went to Rusty’s last evening on Thursday, October 31, 2024. I got there at 8:25 p.m. I read online that they closed at 9 p.m. I drove over from Port Gibson, MS with one of my close friends from Dallas, TX. This was her first time visiting this establishment. They told us they were closing early because they didn’t have traffic for an hour, but they weren’t closed and people were still sitting down eating. Everyone was still there. One of the cooks said, we don’t have any more grits or rice. My question is how do you turn customers away during business hours especially if they are coming to spend money and you haven’t been making money? I had just driven 40 min in the rain just so my friend could have a nice meal. I felt it was wrong to turn us around especially when we made it before the end of business hours. I have been going there for years, even before they remodeled. I have gone there at 8:40 p.m before this night and still gotten served. I run a business myself. I would never turn down a customer during business hours. It’s a way to treat everyone and that was not right. As a result, we ended up patronizing Beechwood. You all have to do better.

We are passing thru on our way to a football game and my husband, son and i ate here tonight. A lady who works at our hotel recommended Rusty’s & it did NOT disappoint. Jennifer was our waitress. She was friendly and helpful and very attentive. They have a great menu with a good variety of food. Our food was DELICIOUS. All of it. From the pickled green bean on my salad to the shrimp and grits to the Mississippi Mud Brownie. It was all perfection. Everything we ordered was great. I highly recommend Rusty’s. It’s neat and clean with a great staff and delicious food.

Best meal of our visit to Vicksburg. Besides great entrees, loved the rolls and sweet butter. Friendly casual atmosphere. Obviously locals love it too.

Get the duo with onion rings.
