Was there today(12/20/25) and I've been here several times. Food is usually chef's kiss! The food was horrible to the point I asked my server did they have a different cook. How the hell do you overcook a redfish then put sauce over it and you still cant chew it. My Hawaiian chicken was overcooked. I had a coughing attack because it was stuck in my throat. The creamed spinach must have been microwave multiple times because it was all on the outside of the bowl. Hell I thought I was eating a spinach bowl. I can truly say this place has changed. I also saw the busboy clean a lady's table but she was only gone to the restroom. He opened her to go boxes and discarded them. Once he saw she returned he retrieved them and put them back on her table. The server was no better she offered her a new box to transfer the food into it. Poor, unacceptable, unsanitary customer service. Idk if they were having a bad day or what, but it'll be a while before I return. Window filled with customer's food waiting to be served. Awful! Rusty you need to call a meeting.🤷🏾‍♀️ Plus she was tipped

Fantastic place right off the river in downtown Vicksburg. We pulled it up on yelp as my buddy and I were driving in. Rusty's was a little busy when we walked but continued to fill up as we ate.

We both had one of their locally brewed beers. I had a lager and his was an IPA. I really enjoyed mine and he said his was 'one of the best beers I have ever had'. High praise and I agree with him the beers were fantastic. We both had po boys. His was the shrimp and I had the mixed, shrimp and oysters. Both were well seasoned and very filling. He got a cup of gumbo and it was bursting with seafood. He said it was excellent. I would definitely encourage you to stop in and enjoy a meal if you are traveling through or stopping in Vicksburg.

I loveeeeeee the fried green tomatoes!!!! I also add the 6 fried shrimp with it ( as a side dish), as well. I just wish it was a least 8 shrimp instead of 6 for $10.

Had blackened redfish over cheese grits, with shrimp and sausage. Decadent.

Woman wife had Hawaiian chicken. She loved it although she couldn’t eat it all.

Rusty's is delicious. I had a shrimp poboy and my wife had the seafood pasta. The French bread they use is so soft and the veggies are fresh and crunchy. The seafood pasta is loaded with shrimp and scallops and butter, top notch. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you're passing through Vicksburg, it's definitely worth the stop.

So I’m leaving a review mainly for the restaurant itself. We came in last night before time of closing and finished before closing. The food wasn’t bad, our server was attentive. But what my 3 stars stand for what happened in the middle and end of our dinner. The whole restaurant was chairs on table, lights practically off. And everyone doing end of the night work before 9pm. I’ve been a server for many years. Even if someone walked in one minute to closing they were served and we had to wait till they left to clean. You don’t have the whole restaurant closed why’ll people are still inside eating. We all have jobs, we all are
Ready when it’s slow and close to closing time. But it’s extremely unprofessional and when people aren’t even there after closing you don’t do what yall did last night. Overall the restaurant isn’t a bad restaurant. I’d eat there again, but as for professionalism in a downtown restaurant. There yall lacked!

This place was surprisingly packed on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The redfish with crawfish sauce is the specialty and it was spectacular
