People were very nice and helpful. I give them five stars ⭐️
Recently took my niece to visit my daughter that lives in Vicksburg and every time I go back. Best fried green tomatoes, bacon fried tomato, smoothie and fresh orange lemonade. My favorite place! We actually went twice.
I haven't been here in a while and I have been missing out. I got the pimento cheese sandwich today on Rye bread with fresh cut fries, delicious. The pimento cheese is the best I've ever had! My mother in law got a side of fried okra and it looked like it was perfectly cooked. They were very busy today & did a great job! I also got a bottle of MS Fever (hot sauce), Coffee beans Mocha Java I believe (Which if you don't have a grinder they can grind it for you), a flat of tomatoes & a few ears of corn. Great little hole in the wall! I'll be back once I finish with my coffee ☕
Small road side stalls turned tiny cafe. Amid crates of tomatoes, peaches, watermelons and boiled peanuts is a service counter serving up a variety of BLTs, poboys, salads, and smoothies.
Be warned, no AC so it’s hot in there during the summer though there are fans running.
This place is the real deal, super authentic, perfect for people who love quirky, unique spots without a drop of corporate BS. Good food and superb friendly service.
My wife found this place online. It looked like a quaint little produce store / hip restaurant. Only about 10 tables, which was fine. Produce selection was ok. Wonderful looking tomatoes! The look and vibe was cool. Huge menu, but the food was a big letdown. Burger was dry, overcooked with no flavor on what seemed to be a toasted, flat 2 day old bun. Located in the side of a highway, literally. Overgrown yard. This place has potential, but needs some tender loving care.
They have the best peach strawberry smoothie!!
We love to try new places around Mississippi and had heard about The Tomato Place so decided to give it a try. I really, really wanted to like it…..but just couldn’t. The outside is overgrown with grass and weeds and has a smell of rotting produce. The inside is hot, cramped and dirty. The staff was nice and our food came out fairly quickly and overall was good, but not worth the $80 we spent on four plates and drinks. The tables and chairs were also sticky and dirty. This place has so much potential….but definitely did not live up to the hype.
We love this place - always stop to eat here when is Vicksburg. The fried green tomato BLT is a must try. We like it with avacado.
Perhaps we came on the wrong day. Waited 1 1/2 hours for our food. The girl at the counter taking the order was pretty rude until she realized they lost our order. The food was ok. The tomatoes were overripe so they made the sandwiches soggy. It wasn’t good enough to make up for the poor service. Also, there was an odd, unappetizing smell that kept wafting through the place.
