The only drawback was they don’t start cooking steaks until 5:o:clock! Fried green tomatoes were fabulous! We also ordered hamburger steak, fried okra and a salad! They were very good. Large portions. Waitress was friendly and joked with us! Fabulous place!
All u can eat boiled shrimp and fried fish , both are very good .

Only one star because I can't put 0. This place use to be so good. The menu is outdated and they are unable to serve over half the menu. We were able to order what we wanted because of this. What we did order was over cooked. Shrimp and a fried pork chop. None of it had any seasoning. None. No salt, pepper. Anything. The only thingnthat was half decent was the $3 mac and cheese my daughter ordered. And thats because it came out of a damn box. Then when we complained that the food was awful they offered a 20% discount when the only person that ate was 6yr. We spent $50 with the discount on food we didnt even get to eat because it was disgusting.

Unprepossessing cafe beside the RR tracks. Came for a weekday lunch, and this place felt like home. Our waitress was a nice young lady, and good at her job. A produce delivery came through the front door just before noon, and went straight to the kitchen. The delivery guy knew everyone there. The food. My companion has a bowl of seafood gumbo, and it was good. I had a regular hamburger with a side of fried okra. The hamburger was easily a half pound of beef, and it was topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. I got mustard instead of mayo. The ice tea was good, and the waitress gave me the choice of lemon in a pack, or fresh sliced. Fresh, please. If you leave out that the hamburger patty was hand made and huge, and cooked just right, and one of the best hamburgers I have ever eaten, this was a pretty average hamburger. The okra was not frozen, but fresh and hand breaded. It was obvious. Neither the burger nor the okra had much salt, but that was okay, add what you want. Two lunches, with drinks and tax, less than $22. They do have a 3.75% credit card surcharge, but that was less than a buck. If I lived closer, I'd eat here every week. Every dang week.
