I do ac work. I have been all over and tried many mom and pops places and this one really takes the cake literally. Everyone was so nice. Fixed my plate and sat me. Made sure I was good multiple times. The food was amazing. Portions were very large. Best plate lunch I have ever had. Mrs Thelma evern introduced herself and we made friends. Definitely will be back!

This is what we were looking for. No trip home is complete without a plate of Southern Homemade Food. They have everything. And desert. 2 people eat for under $40 and the refills for tea keep coming. Bring ALL your friends. Family visiting? This is the place

Thelma’s Kitchen is definitely off the beaten path. And it is very unassuming. It was the only restaurant open in town on Sunday and it was right after church so the whole town was here. The catfish is very crispy, juicy and well seasoned. The Mac and cheese is pretty good. The collard greens were pretty good. The cornbread was a little dry and the sweet tea is perfect. The prices are reasonable and the staff are so friendly and hospitable.

Me and friends came from Tennessee to visit a friend in Mississippi. We can cross this restaurant when I tell you it was GOOD…. I don’t eat catfish but I tasted a piece friend fish and it was excellent, the seasoning was seasoning. My chicken wing was seasoning just right. It was crunchy and juicy. My pound cake was to die for. We will be returning when we come back again.

If if if any of you are in the Mississippi area or passing through, do NOT let this place pass you by! I ordered my food in a to go box with the thought of eating some on the road...it was soOoOo good I ate it all right there at the restaurant!!!!! The service here is the true definition of southern hospitality! The family that owns/operates this restaurant will make you feel like apart of the family so quick. My kids didn't speak during lunch, that's unheard of for 8boys! The boys were so busy eating and each of them had clean plates! The chicken is so moist inside and the breading is seasoned so good and crispy! Everything is seasoned so nicely...If I could give over 5stars I would!
