The location, 20 minutes from the park was good. However this place is situated in the middle of a major construction zone. There were dump trucks running 2 feet in front of the door back and forth. First impression was not good. The building is a huge steel pole barn it feels like the room is a storage unit. There are no TVs. Its pretty bare bones. It is very clean, however there is no housekeeping if you stay more than one day....also no air conditioning. So they really should be charging 140.00 not 244. Plus per night. Getting down to the place is an adventure itself ... don't try it in the dark.. it's scary and dangerous. Very disappointing

Terrible place. Stay away. It got flooded and completely submerged underwater. Also it's down a long dirt (miles long) road that takes forever to get to with large ugly city water pipes and construction all around. Book anything else but here.

Clean place, new bathroom, good mattresses. Perfect as you explore the east side of GNP.

It looks newly remodeled. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was no tv, but the wifi worked well.

It’s not a 5 star hotel but it gets the job done. Everything is so expensive in the area, so this was a cheaper option that I was happily surprised. Very clean which is most important to mention . Small nothing fancy but I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Location was perfect and it was hidden. Perfect for the type of vacation that was planned.

Rooms: It’s basic to lay your head down after a long day visiting Glacier National park. 2 queen bed, single serving coffee maker, and small refrigerator. Stand up shower. It was perfect

XXXXXX Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place at all cost XXXXX. The owner at Hooks Hideaway is a crook. The hotel was shutdown due to recent flooding. We reached there at 9pm after a long day at Glacier NP. The owner lives on the property. He simply said "Its closed, there is no water connection, electricity got restored a day ago, we can not accommodate you". On top of that he denied our refund request, pointing to his cancellation policy. There was no communication from the Hotel to let us know of the flooding and closure of this hotel. So in short, no place provided and they pocketed all the money.
As you know, the hotels around Glacier are booked months in advance. He just threw his hands up and said you are on your own. The prices are jacked up compared to what we can see. The place is remote, no cell reception, dirt road for miles to get to the property, spooky dark in the hallways of the hotel, it smelled like humid and moldy, overgrown weeds and grass around everywhere. The check-in sign on the plywood points to a barn, which was locked up and windows shut closed using plywood planks. No sign of human traffic in months.
My biggest issues is that the owner told us that the hotel was closed for weeks. They ask for email/phone during booking and had out contact information. How hard is it to reach out to people and let them know that the place is shut down due to flooding. But this all seems deliberate effort to con people, specially when you look at their multiple page cancellation and stringent policy.
We ended up not finding any other hotels with vacancy in the area. Has to drive to Canada and finally found a place around midnight.

Rooms: Humid conditions, moldy smell in the hallways, the photos are deceiving, the large common area was filled with stored junk.

Safety: Too unsafe, not recommended for staying for any duration.

Walkability: Zero, dirt road, flooded, mud everywhere

Noteworthy details: Shitty place, weeds and grass grown to waist high. Moldy smell in the hallways, dark spooky place, dirt road, we were horrified.

Rooms were clean and tidy. No AC, but fan in room. Whole place is newly remodeled and in good condition. Beds were comfy and linens clean. Very simple hotel room. Not a ton of options in east glacier/Babb and this was a good choice.Walkability: Not walkable to any restaurants

Thank you Billy and Nikki for an absolute amazing place to stay! Absolutely clean and was treated like family. Restaurant is closed but calf roping on Wednesday night means eating plate sized sandwiches made by Nikki. 1/8th the cost of staying in Glacier, 30 minutes from East entrance and the nicest people you will ever meet! No tv but who needs one? Has internet and shared microwave. They are upgrading lower campground to include awesome horse trailer lots with individual shaded fenced in area for horses. I’ll not stay anywhere else when vacationing there. All our thanks! Mindy and Doug

Great location for East Glacier NP, convenient for day trip to Waterton Lakes NP in Canada. Clean and simple rooms like a national park cabin. Reasonable rate for a motel that has a 4 month season.Rooms: Simple rooms with fridge, open window for overnight cooling. Starlink wifi.Nearby activities: Very closet to Many Glacier and on the road to Make Waterton Lakes in Canada.Noteworthy details: Very quiet, gravel road is maintained by county. On Wednesday night there is a cattle roping competition next door.

There is NO food or restaurant here. This is only a very remote motel with no windows or AC, no bar, grill or dancing. Very handy if you are making last minute plans though. The rooms are clean & staff are wonderful & friendly.

Wonderful! We had several mishaps on this trip and I was luckily able to find this little gem. Because of some of our mishaps, we arrived late. They were kind and had things waiting for us. Room is clean. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is the walls are thin and uninsulated... you can literally hear your neighbor's conversations. Definitely will keep in mind, though, as it looks to be horse friendly

Was great for our group of 17 pple. Basic room was clean- and they let us use their great bar for our family party. Very near the entrance to Glacier.
