Choppers Grub and Pub

This was a great place in Big Sky. It was one of the only places where we did not have to wait. The menu did not have a ton of options but what we got was excellent. They have a great bar selection as well. I wish we had eaten here every night rather than trying other places.

Wow, that’s all I can say. I will start by saying our food was good. However, our server, Maya, made for an odd experience. At first, we thought it was her schtick, but we finally determined she’s just weird. But it gets better! When the bill came, my husband paid it but asked if the gratuity was included. She said it was not. We paid, tipped her, then asked for an itemized receipt rather than just the credit card receipt. We waited and waited and she never came back. We did our homework and realized she DID add the gratuity. So, she got a 40% tip for being weird and dishonest. Bravo!

Nice little local joint, solid burgers and wings with a good beer list. We recommend the insanely good chicken fried steak and the wings.

The food was subpar. I got the spinach dip and it was room temperature. Our waitress was doing her best but she was the only server for the whole bar area and it was peak lunchtime. A group of local older men at the bar were super drunk, cursing and causing a scene to the point where there was almost a fist fight. One of the bartenders had to leave to take him home and it took another bartender and someone from the kitchen to drag him out. Interesting stuff - would not return.

We had a very bizarre experience. Server appeared to be under the influence. Bucket with a straw placed on our table as a joke. Ambiance was not good in terms of vibes and snide customer service. Wings were tiny as well. Staff smack talk the food openly in front of customers. If you’re off season and starving, keep driving.

Great place to grab a bite in Big Sky! The spinach salad was super fresh. I asked for spring mix as a substitute and it was no problem. The salad was really good. As was the chili and my boyfriend and mom loved the wings ! Bought some sauce to take home and some merch! Oh and get one of their specialty hot cocoas!

We just had our rehearsal dinner at Choppers for our wedding. It was amazing!! Great service, most delicious Mexican theme buffet. As a bride, I couldn’t have been happier!!! Thank you Nancy and crew!!!! Highly recommend.

We had a great afternoon with Ashley yesterday. Unfortunately she couldn’t help the Patriot’s win but everything else was wonderful. We will be back.

Was in there last Saturday and the only person who got attention was a girl sitting at the bar who’s in a relationship with our waiter. One of the waitresses trying to help was obviously hammered. Asked for an additional plate no less than 6 times and never got it. Had to leverage a dirty app plate to eat. Don’t expect much here. I hope no one from YC comes in here.

The ONLY reason this is getting 2 stars is because of the service we received from our waitress Maya.I honestly don't enjoy writing bad reviews at all, but this service was just blatantly rude. The only time she was anywhere close to pleasant towards us is when she was dropping off the check and asking us if we needed change (her tip). That was the only time we got anything that resembled a smile.I understand it's the off season (mud season) right now. We are actually visiting from a ski town ourselves where we work in the same industry and can relate 100%.We also noticed that you were the only server working and you got busy for a hot minute too so we tried to take that into account as to why you were acting the way you were, but that still doesn't excuse the short tone and dismissive way you treated us with any questions we had about food items on the menu.Once we got our food, it was actually a great deal better than the service! If you're willing to deal with a waitress that is on a happiness strike, the local craft beers they serve are very good and the burgers are a perfect match.

Enjoyed the atmosphere! There was live music which made it more fun. Food and bar drinks were good and service was friendly. I would go back.

Not sure why this place isn't rated higher. We got a warm welcome and had our order taken right away on the first day of the NFL. Food was excellent. Great house salad for $5. Chili was above average. Burger had a great open flame flavor and the cheesesteak was just as good. Had a great meal and experience. Thanks emmie

Normally I love this place. Stopped by for a quick beverage. Guy bartender had about 4 regulars at the corner of the bar. They were not busy. He ignored me on the far corner for over 10+ minutes. There was not a single guest on the side I was sitting on. He did dishes, talked with his regulars, made drinks for the servers and never acknowledged me. I saw him look at me several times and he chose to suck at his job. I am very easy going and understanding with short staffing but this guy should not be a bartender. He's hurting your business more than helping it. Just my thought. I could have ran circles around him with my eyes closed. ?
