Don’t get me wrong; the breakfast is very good but the selection is less than it has been in recent years. (I get it that inflation has hurt this restaurant, too.)

Our server for breakfast yesterday and today was Avery, who was very pleasant and took great care of us. Thanks Avery!

That being said, the line to get into the breakfast was long and slow! Yikes! Apparently the mgmt company who runs this operation hasn’t realized technology could speed things up. Geez! Even an Excel spreadsheet would help them check in the guests.

Not at all prepared for the breakfast rush. Inefficient waiters, cold food, long wait to enter.

We reserved the New Year's Eve buffet and this was a complete joke. By the time we arrived, the restaurant had run out of party hats. Appetizers were OK: shrimp cocktail, samosas, meatballs. There was no main course. The only dessert option was cupcakes and they were nasty. Who eats cupcakes for New Year??? Free drinks included water and coffee. The bar charged almost $5 for a small glass of soda. We paid over $100 per person, with taxes and forced gratuity, this was barely worth $20. What kind of NYE party is that??? I wish I could get a refund, but of course, the restaurant made sure that payments were made upfront and were non-refundable. This is essentially a scam. I am considering reaching out to my credit card company to place a complaint.

This was a New Year's evening event. Not in Huntley Dining room. It was in the Exchange building instead. Food was cheap and bad. All adults settled for Mac-n-cheese and chicken tenders from the children's menu.

Was expecting a little more for the price. Music good have been more upbeat for a New Years Eve event and overall dining set up could have been more intimate. It seemed like the experience changed from what was originally advertised, as did the venue. Overall it was okay, but I think could have been a lot better with a few changes.

Impressive!! First class all the way. Personnel were unusually accommodating. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Restaurant was excellent. Breakfast had original oatmeal that wasn't instant. My boyfriend likes V8 with his breakfast and was impressed that they had it.

There was plenty of room for the entire family. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, room service was very generous, and the pool was nice and warm (the weather is cold in the mountains so it was very helpful!!) It is a good place to stay if your going to Yellowstone National Park!!

My review has to do with the building itself. The manager, maintenance, and daily maid service were very very nice and quick to respond to the room issues but there is only so much they can do. It is unfortunate that the Huntley Main Lodge is in need of major restoration. Issues included poor ventilation in the halls, rooms, and elevators. The elevators are too tiny and barely fit three people comfortably. The room's AC unit dripped and sounded like a jet engine which affected ability to hear the TV. There was a distinct sewer smell from the shower drain in the bathroom. It would have been nice to set the AC unit on Fan mode to circulate the air - but there wasn't a setting for this and there weren't windows to open. The hallway floor is thin and creaks loudly; you can hear the steps of others from your room. That's just what I noticed during my stay. Having shared that - maintenance was quick to respond to the room issues above. However, it did not help my allergies and asthma affected by every hour I spent in that room and made sleeping uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have a microwave and a larger refrigerator in the room, instead of the 2-3 shelves with useless knickknacks. I read a previous comment about the front desk help being unfriendly. I agree and just guessing that it is because they are not knowledgeable in their roles, it was evident they appeared uncomfortable behind the desk. Many seemed as if they were newly hired. PETS PETS PETS - do not belong in hotels - sorry; maybe motels with linoleum floors but not lodges/hotels with carpets. Cigarette smoking was eliminated due to obvious health concerns. There's just no way of getting around pee and dander. And with the already poor ventilation issues - UGH!!! Again, kudos to the staff working in these conditions, but I suggest staying at the Summit Hotel which is just next to the Huntley.

Awesome facility and staff. Things that you need to be aware of if you go during ski season: 1. reserve a humidifier ahead of time or you won't get one and 2 the plan the time your are going to the included breakfast to beat the crowd (the line to get a table was the worst and sometimes the food was low). The breakfast was all delicious though. One of my favorite parts of the Huntley was the sunken lobby area. The staff made sure the fire was always gorgeous. Our group met a few nights there where we played games and had a great time. Kudos to HARLEY, JORGE, MEDELLA, ANNA (our housekeeper) !!!

Excellent experience! Flew into Bozeman and was heading down to Jackson Hole for my sons wedding. Stayed at Big Sky and it was truely excellent. Room was clean and the view was fantastic. The breakfast was exceptional as well! I would stay at Big Sky again without hesitating. Thank you to the fantastic staff also!

Great staff and experience. The morning buffet is a great start to the day! I love that they are dog friendly and is why we keep coming back. The pool and hot tub are incredible after a day on the mountain. You will not beat the location!!! The Starbucks is a hidden gem (we always hit it, even when we are just up skiing for the day and not staying there). The recent room renovations are impressive.

The lodge and rooms are beautifully renovated. The lodge is rustic and huge. It is 20 yds out the back to the Explorer chairlift and walking distance to others and base village. The complimentary breakfast buffet in the ginormous dining hall is awesome and has everything from hot trays to cold fruits, fresh juice etc. My only complaints are that there was clomping and creaking noise from the 2nd floor above us and that the queen beds seemed like doubles. More kings would be welcomed for couples. Kudos to the cleaning crew and all staff.

Actually, I think the Hunley Lodge is a wonderful hotel, and recommend that you stay there. I am, however, giving it a one-star review because I hope management will read this and correct the following situation. The hot tubs at the hotel do not have any bubble/aeration. A sign says they are temporarily out of order and the hotel is planning to fix them. But I spoke with a number of folks who says that this has been broken for something like 5 years! The hot tubs are an important amenity and it is ridiculous that the hotel does not fix this! They are still usable but this situation should be corrected. And one additional small point, if management reads this: for some reason the beds are made up in such a manner that the comforter does not come up higher than the middle of your chest - I had to kick out the comforter where it is tucked in at the bottom. All the other folks in our large group complained about the same thing. But - having pointed this out, I really recommend the Huntley - a very nice hotel.
