Patio dining with a wonderful bottle of wine recommended by our server to pair with dinner.

Never had a bad meal here! Any red meat and you're going to be blown away.

Can't speak for dinner but lunch was amazing. Highly recommend the wild game chili or the game burger.

The Cabin is a perennial favorite of mine when I visit Big Sky! They serve elk, walleye, and Bison from local area sources. All deliciously prepared, cozy and very “mountain-y” decor, friendly and helpful staff. Usually go there multiple times on my trips!!

The cabin is the best Montana food experience on the mountain. They always have a selection of wild game, fish and vegan options. The drinks are fun and innovative. We had JaRod. He was really nice and helpful. Thanks for a fun night after a fun day of skiing.

Great service but overall very basic food.

Great restaurant and has been wonderful for a long long time. Staff is fantastic. Highly recommend. The Cabin restaurant is one of the reasons we enjoy Big Sky so much.

I had the best bison I’ve ever tasted here—absolutely delicious! While the service was a little on the slower side, the incredible food more than made up for it.

I went to Cabin Bar and Grill yesterday, and it was a mixed bag. The vibe? Nonexistent. It's just an old log house with no charm. The restrooms are outside in the common area, which feels off, and the beat-up dining room chairs don't help. It was crowded, and the service stumbled the waiter didn't bring steak knives until well after our dishes arrived. The food, though, was a bright spot. It came out fast, and we enjoyed a side of bison meatballs small, just three, but tasty. The elk filet and New York strip were solid portions and cooked well. Still, at over $60 per meal, it didn't match up. The quality, presentation, and ambience just don't justify the price. I feel for anyone dropping that kind of money here including me. First and last visit for sure.

Overall meal was good but tainted by a bait and switch with our drinks. Asked if they had Michter's rye. Was told yes so I ordered one. Subsequently ordered two more. Check comes and they are charging $89 per Michter's. I ask about this and the waiter offers to take one off. I press and ask if this is what they charge for a Michter's. After a while I am informed it was Michter's 10 Year. I asked for a Michter's, not a Michter's 10 Year. At best this was incompetence on the part of the waiter, at worst this was an intentional effort to cheat.

Great place to try some high quality meats and modern dishes. Came here with a group of 6 for dinner and basically tried 80% of the menu with dessert, multiple drinks and it was less than $800 of the total bill, not bad for the 6 of us(all things considered).

Our favorites were the bison tenderloin, the elk tip special and the mussels appetizer. The only mediocre thing was the brie appetizer and the cheese cake dessert. The mussels were most of the table’s favorite, and they were really good, I just personally thought the flavors were too pungent for the delicate meat entrees served afterwards and just not sure how the flavors of the dish fits into the overall concept of the menu but as a standalone dish it might be the best tasting dish on the menu.

Highly recommended for a special dinner, a little more pricey than the average but it was our last night and we wanted something special and the place did not disappoint! Make sure you get reservations though! Could not get a table otherwise. Highly recommend.
