Service and cocktails were great but this restaurant is oddly shabby compared to the price point. Ok for a one off but don't make a special trip.

We had high hopes for this dining experience in Big Sky, but unfortunately, it fell short. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, which already set a slightly odd tone. Eventually, someone came in and set up a table for us. The waiter himself was very pleasant and tried his best, but the service was painfully slow — it took about an hour for our food to come out. The drinks were not impressive at all, and considering the price tag of nearly $400 for two adults and three kids, we expected much more. The ambience was underwhelming, the food was mediocre, and the drinks didn't make up for it. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. For the cost, I was hoping for something memorable, but it was not an experience I would recommend or repeat.

Definitely ou favorite in Big sky, we keep going back every time we visit ! The menu is delicious with a very unique variety from elk, pheasant, bison, walleye. This place perfectly captures the authentic Montana vibe.

Group of nine (6 adults, 3 kids). We were quickly greeted and seated by the owner and it was pretty much downhill from there. Drink order was taken and it took at least 15 minutes to get a cocktail (bar was not busy). Seemed our server was overwhelmed. Dinner orders were taken and when finally delivered seemed to have been waiting to be delivered for a while as entrees weren’t what I would consider hot. Little follow up after receiving dinners! Highlight of evening….cream of wild mushroom soup was wonderful!!

We arrived to a not so clean and very worn looking restaurant. One server for the entire restaurant, hard old bread, the wine was extremely hot.., Our food actually came out nice, which was a pleasant surprise, but for the price and ambience, it was not worth it. Our biggest complaint was a group of college kids paying for their own meal and chose to eat here because of the prices they saw on Google. When we arrived, every item was 33% higher than what Google showed. We just mentioned it to the manager and he said all the owner was supposed to have changed it on Google. Then he came back to try to prove us wrong and said oh well you can't use Google!!! The steaks on the menu online were showing $37-$44 and then the restaurant they're all around $62-$67 I would never recommend this restaurant

Outstanding. If you visit big sky you have to go here at least once. Best food I’ve had in this area without a doubt.
We had our rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding last week and it was outstanding. Beginning with Huckleberry lemonades, wonderful appetizers and incredible entree's, my favorite was the Elk, deserts and a choice of Expresso or chocolate martinis, the evening could not have gone better. Matt and his staff were great in every way. I recommend The Cabin in every way for dinner or your special event

We sat at the bar and our bartender was very friendly and super knowledgeable about everything on the menu from drinks to their food. She was super attentive and polite. Be reg refreshing for a younger bartender.
