My well-justified criticism of the Big Sky restaurant situation notwithstanding, Big Sky has really improved the 2nd floor food court since I was last here a few years ago. Pretty good food selection for lunch and you can get your food quickly and the food is hot and good. Biggest issue is there is not enough seating during prime time, mostly due Big Sky having too few dining location options and no real on-mountain lunch (Everett's=high-end, Shedhorn too hard to get to without accidentally winding up on a black diamond). Top of Mr. K is a perfect place to build a lunch dining option--spend your money there instead of the tram to the top that is planned, Big Sky.
The food is fine. It's cafeteria type food, longer than average waits, not that friendly staff, especially at the main bar. To the bartender that is short, stocky, and very unfriendly, a bit of advice; You work in a resort, you work for tips, lose the attitude man, you're not that cool. The espresso and dessert area is awesome and the outdoor patio scene is cool.
long lines, no covid precautions, overcrowed, very basic food - typical American diner affair. Sitting limited. This is not a "European" experience!!!
Many thanks to Rick, Nancy and Ray Ray, we had great food and a great time!!!! The restaurant also had amazing views especially after the snow storms we had!!!!
This is a great option for dining at Big Sky Resort whether you are staying there as a guest or just visiting for the day. There are several different areas with different types of food, cafeteria style. You get your food, pay for it then you can get something from the bar if you like. They you can take your tray and sit outside, weather permitting on a huge deck and enjoy the sights of the ski slope and ski lifts.
