I have heard things about the Echo Lake Cafe for most of my life..and finally had time to sit down and have breakfast. I was excited...but the food was kind of a let down. I got the chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs, house potatoes and wheat toast. The potatoes were good but cold and the toast was super tough.. The chicken fried steak and gravy was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Although the comfort i felt when I walked in there and the service was all worth it and I will go back.

Stopped by Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast. The service was mediocre, not friendly or real responsive. The meal (eggs, bacon and potatoes) were good but the pancake - where it looked perfect - was tough/chewy on the underside. It was difficult to cut with a fork. Flavor was good but couldn’t eat it because of how tough it was. Price was similar to what we are seeing at other breakfast/lunch spots with an average meal for 2 running approx $40.
