Fri nite we were able to get tickets to the Bigfork play and decieded to drop by 459 to see if we Could eat there as we did not have reservations. I went up while hubby parked and was told no talked available but we could eat at the bar. Ok with me as it wa 6:30 snd play starts at 8. The bartender asked me what I wanted to drink. I said I would wait for my hubby snd we’re we’re going to have dinner. Hubby arrived snd about 10 minutes later no acknowledgment from bartender who was talking, talking, to only other couple at other end of bar. Finally hubby said to bartender, we r ready. He stopped talking finally came over to us snd told us to leave. I guess he thot we were pushey out is stayers and he wasn’t going to be pushed he said next time we should get reservations We usually do as we eat there once a week but didn’t plan ahead this time before the play st 8 pm. We have lived in Montana out whole lives about 79 years and have owned s home inBigfork for 20 years. So we r not out of staters. We were just trying to get our order in so we could get across street to play by 8 pm as they were busy. So sorry we caused a problem by interrupting the bartenders long long conversation with as he described the couple at the other end of bar. These nice folk who I am trying to take their order. I know help us hard to find and staff all over r overworked but customers should be treated with same respect from the staff. We r not all pushy out of staters All the waiters and staff in grill other that bartender have been hardworking, respectful and spot on with their service. It was a bad experience for us actually it was unbelievable. We have company coming at the end of month and have reservations make in advance as we have enjoyed the Grill. We won’t ever be back. Someplace else will get our weekly business.

Short menu but that's why it's so good! Everything is perfected. Would definitely send friends and family here!

As a local who eats in Bigfork often I would not recommend. Calamari was served cold, Ribeye (Qty 2) both served cold and one was too gristly to eat (we brought it home to feed to our dogs), Meatloaf was also cold and when sent back to the kitchen had been reheated in a microwave. Women's bathroom was not clean, nor stocked with paper towels. Prices not listed on Menu.

First of all - we had a hard time finding a restaurant open; one had a sign on it that said it was closed “indefinitely”, another one that Trip Advisor told is was open on this Thursday evening was darkened and the doors were locked despite the sign on the door clearly stating it’s hours of operation... Finally we happened upon 459 which *appeared* to be open... This dining experience was one of the oddest I’ve had in quite some time. First, we enter the restaurant through an elevator which has faded and torn signs warning us that it takes 35 seconds to get to the top and not to summon emergency services by hitting the ‘help’ button. We enter the restaurant- we are asked twice if we have reservations- the restaurant is completely empty save one table in the corner; for second we think we are going to be turned away because of our lack of advance planning! We are then told we can sit anywhere except one table that has menus on it; “I’m doing something with that table” (?!). So we chose an alternate table and drinks are brought to us. There are two waiters for two tables but the service seems balky. We finally place our order and then have a moment to observe our surroundings - it just keeps getting stranger.... The walls are a mud beige that has been touched up with even a darker mud beige splashed randomly on spots. Between paint splotches the walls are covered with some of the following: hand painted grapes and vines, one sepia-toned photo of a rodeo, a backlit shade with a photo of Flathead Lake, random Cubist art representations and some odd paintings of indeterminate origin. My cat could have created better decor... Our appetizer is Calamari- ok but not great. The service seems to slowly move forward- the one other table sends their food back because it was cooked incorrectly- not a good sign. At some point our waiter removes the menus from the table he had told us he was “doing something with”. It remains empty during our entire stay. Finally our food arrives - every single plate is beautifully created, artfully garnished and resplendent in its creativity. The odd dichotomy between our plates and our surroundings is striking. I have the Stroganoff which is a bit soupy, not very flavorful with stringy meat chunks. My husband has the tuna which was wonderful; tasty, fresh and with delectable sides. My brother-in-law has the pork chop - meaty, well-seasoned with a creamy risotto. So the food - pretty good. Service? Grindingly slow given the ratio of waitstaff to clientele but our waiter was pleasant enough. The entire experience? It can only be called bizarre. As we pass out of town - we go by a restaurant that is bustling and full to the gills - again - an odd comparison to our dark and empty experience at 459.

DELICIOUSNESS

The place is small and intimate. It took about 15 minutes for our waiter to see us and roughly and hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. I ordered a raspberry sour and got 1 refill - about a third of the beer was foam each time. I got the beef stroganoff and my wife got the meatloaf. The food was good but a little overpriced. I would not go back to this restaurant.

Delicious food and cocktails. The Caesar salad is truly unique and s as must try! The staff is super friendly and the only (picky!) drawback is there is no view with all the windows closed on the one side. It was the best place we ate!

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The Sirloin and Grits I ordered were exceptional. Highly recommended establishment.

Amazing restaurant alert! Great food, incredible staff and located in an awesome little hideaway by the lake! You can't go wrong with this place! Ask for Brandon! He'll make your meal one to remember! Make sure you start with the Mac and Cheese bites! They are awesome! Steak was perfect, Ahi was incredible! And don't forget dessert! Highly recommended!

Drinks are okay. Service is okay. Location is good. Food is a joke; there is defiantly no real chef working in this kitchen.Menu says $18 (but it's actually $20) for a small serving of pre-cooked chicken breast over a very bland pasta.I ordered the Cubano Skewers, which was simply cold lunch meat and cheese on oversized toothpicks! It's sad business for Bigfork.
