Food was great and our server was very attentive and provided great service. I gave 1 star because my husband has a service animal and was refused service. We even asked if we could sit outside on the empty patio but were told no animals (even service animals) are allowed on the property. This is illegal and terrible customer service. My husband left and enjoyed lunch at another local taco shop that welcomed him and his well behaved service animal.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced in such a short amount of time. Asked if they had something specific our waitress said “umm I don’t know I don’t think so” How about doing the job you’re being paid for and check. You’re serving paying customers… I decided to ask someone else, waited at the bar next to two servers and a bartender talking about what movie they wanted to watch that night instead of paying attention to the waiting customer right next to them? Bartender said the exact same thing “I don’t think so” literally right in the bar and you can’t even check. We ask for our food to go, didn’t ask for our tab to be closed but they did that anyway. Honestly a blessing in disguise. Also for only having tacos on the menu how do you not know what the restaurant you work at has to offer customers? Food was very greasy, soggy, and slapped together. Won’t be coming back here.

Oro y Plata in Big Fork has a great atmosphere — really cozy and welcoming. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit enjoyable. I had the tacos, and while I thought they were a bit on the expensive side, the handmade flour tortillas were tasty and fresh. The queso and salsa were really good too. Overall, a solid spot if you’re looking for a nice place to eat in town!

Ridiculously priced for what you get, that is if they get your take out order, correct!!
$90+ dollars for 6 tacos, 1 quesadia, half a cup of beans and rice, they forgot the beans and rice on the 2nd entree! Chips/salsa and a margarita to go!
The staff were friendly!
One and done for me, though!

Went for a family dinner and the meal started off great -- they chips were hot and fresh with excellent salsa flavor. We ordered queso con carne ($9) and it was hot fresh and thick enough grab on your chip and truly dip. The guacamole ($7) left a bit to be desired it was very basic with little flavor -- if you like just plain avacados with a bit of salt this is what you will get. Our whole family agreed the avacados were fresh but lacked the flavor (such as onion, tomato, garlic, etc.) you would typically expect from guacamole. The drink I ordered was the mango margarita which had a get flavor but I didn't care for the spicy salt around the top, and think it would have been better with a sugar option as mangos are typically sweeter. The main course we got a couple of options. As picture my daugher got a cheese quesadilla ($9) and the tortillas were homemade with excellent taste fresh and lots of cheese it was perfect for her. My other daughter got the pork taco ($8) and didn't like that the cheese wasn't shredded as they were use to. The Taco Trio ($24) offers a blend of each taco but by far everyone liked the soft taco shells over the hard (as the hard got soft and greasy flavored if not eaten first). We went back a second time as my family seemed to enjoy the fresh chips and salsa, ordering the queso again and it was so runny that we could not even scoop it and when we asked to replace it the waitress got very rude and said that is the way it is. I would have given a higher rating if we the same food and waitstaff as previously but the second trip left a bad taste with us.

I get tired of eating where there’s animals. Thank you for keeping your restaurant clean.

Mr. Austin Zapata, manager, violated federal law and denied service to me and my service animal. He took great pleasure in breaking the law. It unfortunate that people with disabilities are discriminated against when they have a service dog. A service dog is not a pet, It is a medical device. This establishment is ignorant and needs to be updated on the law. I am happy to file a complaint and get them the education they apparently need. I see multiple complaints regarding denial of service animals. The first offense is $75,000 fine. Contact the DOJ and file your ADA complaint. Bankrupt this place.

The Best Tex-Mex around!!! Yes its a little pricey but aren't most places downtown?
I would like the beans and rice a little more seasoned, but I'm not going for the beans and rice.

We certainly thought the food was tasty, but expensive for Mexican food. Good service, nice atmosphere. We had the veggie tacos and while they were good, they could have been more creative than guacamole, lettuce and pickled onions. Tacos, chips and guacamole, two margaritas…$100 plus tip. And served on metal cafeteria style trays!

The atmosphere was chill, plastic cups and just off the slope vibes.
The prices did not match the laid back atmosphere, but the food was delicious.
As the menu requested, and as aresponsible customer. I let my waitress know I had a gluten allergy. I then ordered and ate the chips and queso, and veggie taco.
One hour after consumption I had an awful celiac allergic reaction and have vomited with liquid stool all evening. We could not drive home without our pulling over multiple times. I am not sure what food I ate that has gluten in it. But something. It’s a rough evening
I’d like you to know how tough it was. I vomited blood by 11 pm since I was shaking and in cold sweats convulsing so hard at the porcelain potty. I also vomited so hard I pissed myself several times. It’s embarrassing but you need to know what an unclean/unsafe kitchen can do to people
Update- my husband who has no food allergies and ate the queso and steak taco also vomited within about 2 hours of eating. I’m not sure what’s up- but there should be a check.

This restaurant is breaking the law by not allowing service animals even just on the “patio”. The waitresses just gave dirty looks after me mentioning the law, and started to gossip about me to each other as soon as I turned around to leave, very rude and ignorant.
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals must be permitted in all areas where the public is allowed, including restaurants. Please look this up.

We stayed in Bigfork for three nights and ended up coming back here each night! The food was excellent and all the servers we had were great but what brought us back each night was the exceptional service and friendliness of Stevie the bartender!! She was terrific and shared local knowledge, fun stories and truly made us feel like we were "locals". Hoping they also hire back next year their summer helper waitress Dior as she too was all smiles and a lot of fun! I'd recommend trying this place if you're in town!

As a very picky eater and a vegetarian I usually have to accept I won’t have incredible food on vacation, but then I came here for dinner and my expectations were exceeded!! The vegetarian tacos were SO GOOD. I really expected to have to just make do but was pleasantly surprised with how much flavor they had. The rice that came with was also so good. I wish the rice portion was bigger though, especially with the price of the meal.
My only complaint about this place is when they seat you they ask if you want chips and salsa but do not specify they are not complimentary. You would only know that if you had time to look over the menu before hand.
