I love the food but, I had a reservation for a week. Got there and the lady couldn't find my reservation, finally seating us when I showed how I had a reminder from them. Then we were seated in a half empty dining room at a small table for 2 in the back room. There were other tables for 2 available one near the window the other a nice sized one where you could look out.
What's really bad as I live here and come winter and summer. Really upset. May be awhile before we come back

We had a great time here. Sat on the beautiful patio. The drinks were slow but delicious. For appetizers we had the wings and the calamari. Wings were overdone but the flavor was incredible. Calamari was perfect!
I had the halibut and the addition of small mango chunks was heavenly. We cleaned our plates and overall had the best time.
Only recommendation would be to consider infrared heaters on the patio.

Good food, but very pricey. My cobb salad tasted fresh.$ 22.00 My companion added a small steak to her small salad $14 and the meat was $21. Looked over poked to me.

The white pizza was pretty good, but a little overcooked. Crust was slightly charred on top and bottom. Server was great and very attentive. Very nice view of the gorgeous golf course while sitting on the patio.

Amazing place! We are here from WI on vacation. They were able to get us in for a last minute reservation on a busy night.
The service from top down was amazing!! We had the prime rib and it was superb!! Every part of the meal was incredible including the Carrot cake!! I would highly recommend this incredible gem of a restaurant!!

Not sure if we visited on an "off" evening...We were in the fine dining part of the restaurant and our service was terrible. We were there for almost 3 hours and never once did the manager come over and talk to us about how long the food was taking although they did go to multiple other tables. A couple tables around us actually left before their food. Our server was avoiding us the entire time. Once the food came, ironically it was cold so it was clearly sitting in the kitchen for some time. The surroundings and area are very nice and the restaurant was packed so I assume this isn't a regular occurence, however, the lack of acknowledgement was extremely dissapointing.
Server was great and food also was good. Setting is very nice. Feel that the prices were a bit high. For example my Tito martini was $18 and they charged $2 for the 2 blue cheese olives. So $20 for not even a top shelf vodka. They also charged $4 to split a. Salad. Overall it was good and would recommend it however I feel they are over priced.
We celebrated an anniversary and it was perfect! The staff were so friendly and accommodating with our large group! Brandon and Carson were our servers and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Thank you again, we will definitely be back!

Absolutely phenomenal. Schafer’s in Bigfork is a hidden gem that delivers a top-tier dining experience from start to finish. The setting is elegant yet inviting, with a view and atmosphere that perfectly complement the food. You feel like you’re in on a local secret—but one that rivals fine dining in much larger cities.
The menu was creative and well-balanced, offering both classic flavors and innovative pairings. Every dish we tried was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. From appetizers to dessert, not a single note was off. The flavors were rich, fresh, and intentional.
Service was attentive without being overbearing—just the right rhythm to let you relax and savor the moment. You could tell the staff took pride in both the food and the experience.
This is the kind of place you linger at. Where conversation flows easily, wine glasses stay full, and each course feels like an event. We’ll be returning again and again.
Bigfork is lucky to have this place—and honestly, so are we.

I’m typically a steak guy when it comes to fine dining. You know, the old ribeye medium rare topped with blu cheese…. However after consulting the waiter I was recommended the sea bass. Feeling adventurous, I went for it. This was by far the best seafood dish I have ever ate! True comfort food, as well as nice and light. If you are hungry I would recommend a starter to go with it. My wife got a lot more food and shared some of hers so that made up for not getting a starter.
Always a fantastic dinner! The food is incredible and our server, Laura, was so knowledgeable and attentive! She made a few wine recommendations to my husband and it was incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond making certain our dinner was no less than perfect and even made absolutely certain my mother who’s celiac, had a completely safe dinner to enjoy (and she really enjoyed her dinner!). The chef is extremely talented, but honestly the face of a great restaurant is the server…and Laura is nothing but professional, knowledgeable, a real asset and we hope the owners recognize the gem they have in Laura. We’ll definitely return!
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. The 3 mushroom soup on the menu is delicious as well as the appetizers- calamari and hickory smoked pork belly. Salads are great and the menu has quite a great variety of entrees.
