Their standard liquors are good and they have a seasonal/ever-expanding and creative drink menu. Make sure to ask for tasters of the fruit-infused moonshine. It's tough to leave without buying a couple bottles!

Who is the one moron who didn't give this place 5 stars?!?! Asylum is a wonderful spot; glad we found it. Drinks are amazing as they have so much flavor. Pours are generous. And serving all that goodness up are Niaomi and Jennifer -- undoubtedly two of the most coolest and realest people you'll ever meet. Those two lovely ladies made our day and we took some apple cider 'shine back to Colorado with us (no, we're NOT californians either -- we're on your side Montana). Hope to get back to Montana and drop by Asylum again. For those in Billings that haven't been yet run, don't walk, to Asylum where you're bound to have a lot of fun.

One of my favorite places to grab a libation! It is almost speakeasy -ish in that it is tucked away in one of the old rehabed warehouse buildings, so one has to look to find it. If you enjoy gin, moonshine, rum, or vodka cocktails this is definitely worth checking out. The vibe is cool. The bar people are fun. The mixologist who invented their various drinks is creative.

I went here with my friend and we tried the grinch special and also a drink from their original menu. Honestly love the vibe and bartenders are super cool! Highly recommend and I'll be back!

Wouldn't set foot in this place for any reason. A friend of mine was on a date here on a weeknight. Having a quiet drink and enjoying the conversation when two police officers (who had been called by the manager) escorted him out of the bar. No reason given. No questions asked of him by the manager. Just called the police. Obviously a case of mistaken identity but, ruined the date and very upset friend. He is never a troublemaker so no understanding by him or any of his friends as to why this happened. Nope. Not gonna happen and you just lost as many customers as our friend group can gather. Very upset with the management of this place. Manager should be ashamed of this type of treatment.
That being said, the bartender was great. Very apologetic about this situation.

The distillery was a small place and hard to find. But the drinks were amazing and Alex the bartender was easy to talk to and gave great drink recommendations. Definitely worth it to stop in for a drink.

As a Canadian from calgary where the Caesar was born, I was skeptical when I saw the asylum had the drink on its menu because usually America has a bloody Mary, which is very different. Much to my surprise and delight, it was the TASTIEST CONCOCTION I've ever had! I discovered that our bartender ALEX created the recipe herself and it's seriously the best I've ever had. Kudos to Alex and thanks for the awesome drinks. We will be back!

First time in, the apple pie moonshine was fantastic. Also the bartender was super personable. I didn't catch his name, but best customer service I've had in a long time!
Had my 1st Asylum experience today and it was Great! Very tasty cocktails and atmosphere. My favorite so far is Moonshine Lemonade! Alex was awesome and made it a VERY Fun experience ?
