The food was good...recommend adding the beans and rice to your plate if you're feeling hungry. Service was great, ambiance had a down home feel. Only two tables to seat four people, most tables seated two. I recommend giving it a try!

Yikes do u see how this business owner reply’s back to the bad reviews? Much pride? Anyways, my experience was this. Prices are like everywhere in Billings. It’s alright but I’m use to getting big portions at Mexican restaurants. I got my breakfast burrito and i was like oh that’s cute. It was ok tho. They got the red sauce and cilantro that they put on it…A customer called in and the employee talked for a bit then hung up on her! The customer called back and the employee left her on her phone and just let her talk to herself. lol it was sad but comical how an employee was doing this to their potential business. Then she took a guys order in Spanish but after the phone called seemed irritated with him too. Bad day maybe? Idk I was hoping for something great with all their reviews but maybe they ate something I haven’t tried but I don’t want to go back to find out.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch. It had been a few years since we last stopped in and it was just as good as we remembered it. Evelyn runs an amazing restaurant and is very welcoming. She serves great food and is a great addition to the community. We will definitely be spending more of our lunch breaks at La Tinga. Thanks!

We were welcomed warmly by the owner. She cared for us as if we were in her own home. I ordered the pozole and it was so flavorful with plenty of hearty meat, hominy and crisp vegetables. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It felt like going home to your mamita’s house.

I would call it "soul food" because, beyond the wonderfully tasty menu and superb presentation of the food, the essence of the restaurant and it's owner/staff wraps you in care and even love! This place is one of the more distinctive heart centers of Billings! You deserve to taste THAT experience!And let yourself linger over the many photos of guests on the walls. Those aren't your average smiles. These people have been touched by something invisible stirring their hearts as well as their stomachs! You'll see that in the sparkles in their eyes!
