If you want next-level sushi and an unforgettable experience, ask for Dae. Period.
From the moment we sat down, Dae brought passion, precision, and pride to every single plate. The sushi was immaculately prepared, insanely fresh, and beautifully presentedāevery bite balanced, bold, and absolutely addictive. You can tell immediately that this isnāt just a job for himā¦ itās an art.
What really sets Dae apart is the experience. Watching him work behind the bar, you can see the care and skill that goes into every roll. Friendly, focused, and clearly a master of his craftāhe made us feel welcome and taken care of the entire time.
Hands down some of the best sushi weāve had, not just in Billings, but anywhere. If youāre going to Nara Sushi and you donāt sit with Dae, youāre missing out.

Because itās woefully lacking the description this place deserves and let me tell you it surely deserves a description! lol. Itās absolutely ridiculous! I couldnāt believe this place! Their sushi rolls are at minimum twice as big as any other sushi place Iāve ever been (including wild ginger) and they are spectacular! The best tasting sushi Iāve had! Every time Iāve gone the staff makes me laugh and theyāre always smiling and playing antics with each other, theyāre entertaining to watch at the very least. Like any sushi restaurant they prepare the rolls in front of you. But unlike any other sushi place heāll explain what heās doing and make you laugh when he does. Itās a fun place to eat and the food is literally (Iām using that word correctly!) unbeatable in my opinion! Go see for yourself! Youāll love it there!
