1/2 price/bottle wine night was good. A “happy hour” side salad only curly lettuce. Nothing else on it. Smashburger good but $28?? “Special” entree seafood (soup-ish style) overcooked but not temperature hot. Crusty bread had a strong mustard (“aioli” topping. Would have preferred just buttered crusty bread. The vegan crepe & veggies not hot temperature. Very pleasant staff. Menu a bit odd.

I came here with my partner for Valentine's day and I think the whole experience could be described as mediocre. Just like all other high-end restaurants in Bozeman, the food was just... fine. I ordered a martini and for the first time in my entire life, I sent it back because it was brown from too much olive brine and was too salty to be drinkable. The ceviche was bright but under seasoned, and would have been great for someone who has never had ceviche before. My partner ordered the lobster fettuccini, and it was fine, nothing spectacular. The homemade noodles had great texture but several of them had stuck together into a large ball that he cut into pieces to eat. There was also maybe 3 oz of overcooked lobster on the dish. I had the miso cod, and the flavor was great but the portion size was laughable for $45. about the size of a deck of cards with nothing else of substance on the plate. We gave up before dessert. Nothing (except the martini) was bad, but it was just mediocre considering the price and the history of the lodge. I think you guys can do better.

Best fried chicken this side of Nashville. Love the corn nuggets appetizer. Very good BBQ, nice bar, great scenery, excellent service. This is definitely a go to place when in the area. Expect a wait if you get there much after 4pm as it packs in pretty good, especially during tourist season.

We've always had excellent food at GRL, and this was no exception. We opted for the Vegan dish which was delicious. Lizzy was our server and she was friendly and very attentive to our needs.

This is a first class restaurant and hidden away from busy Bozeman, even though its only 20 minutes outside of town. The menu/food is as good or better than the best BZN spots. Very creative menu and Chef. Service is down home impeccable. Highly recommended.

I called the morning of to tell them that we had a vegetarian. They said they would talk to the chef about a dish and a soup. especially since we were staying on property for a very high amount of $. We got there and the soup was basically a chicken soup. and they had one vegetarian dish and no starters that were vegetarian. so basically no effort was made. Cost was high, and it wasn't worth it. Meat dish was delicious for the meat eater, but for this cost, most places would show a bit more effort to accommodate.

This place has some really good food. Their portions are very small but I think the taste makes up for it. I got the happy hour lobster sandwich and I also got the chicken tenders from the appetizer menu. The tenders were delicious and had a good wasabi sauce to it that was really yummy. The sauce was pretty spicy too. My brother the blackened cod and it was $45.00. It was cod alright. Only a little 2 oz piece of fish with no sides at all. Just a small piece of fish.If you are looking to eat a lot of food this is not the place. Just small tasty portions. But the service here is amazing and the chef even dropped off our meals for us.

Amazing food, Chef Jorge is incredibly talented! The bar staff are great mixologists and the dining from servers are top notch. A casual feel but definitely high quality fine dining!

Wonderful Pre-Christmas Dinner. We discovered the Gallatin River Lodge thru a post on Facebook about a Spanish Wine Tasting, but when reviewing the restaurant menu we decided to book reservations for Dinner. From the warm welcome at the reception desk to cocktails, dinner selection and wine choices with the help of the our server Lizzie and the bartender we had a wonderful experience. the staff was was friendly, attentive and met every need. We were able to meet and converse with the Chef about the Miso Cod (5 stars) and the Lobster Ravioli. Desserts were a wonderful Blueberry Crème Brûlée (this being a first in the cream brûlée realm of creations) and a Foie Gras Profiteroles - a desert you have to try - there is just no way to adequately describe it. It is truly an experience...Intriguing... is the best word I can up with. Prices for some can be higher than expected compared to other establishments, but the food, service and ambiance makes it worth the drive outside the midst of downtown Bozeman. We have eaten at almost every high end restaurant in Missoula and Bozeman and strongly recommend a visit to this “Montana” restaurant.

The atmosphere was perfect! The chef came and chatted with us and was warm and welcoming. The service, as always, left us feeling well taken care of. A place that has been around for so many years and continues to deliver at such a high standard, definitely impressed us!

Great place with good food but the place was over staffed. Good chefs, bad front end management. Overpriced food to make up for the labor. 3 people standing around while my server said: "when the rest of the table gets here tell them the specials" like she didn't have the time and she just stood around a half empty restaurant. Same with drink refills etc, servers acted like they'd rather stand around than do the rounds on tables. Those servers wouldn't last at a real busy restaurant. And items on the menu had allergens not listed on the menu AND the wine was more expensive on the bill than on the menu. Basic stuff here people.

The food was quite good and I recommend the duck duck goose in particular. The food quality and quantity are better than the last times I ate here, pre-COVID ( whenI felt the quantities were stingy, quality average, and price point too high for what I was served from around 2015-2019 but some of my friends disagreed to be honest). The service was outstanding and the ambience is quite nice, as it has been since it opened. While I was hesitant to eat here based on prior experience, above, I was quite pleased and can recommend it; I plan to return.

This is a culinary gem nestled in Montana's scenic beauty. Their duck dish is an exquisite delight, perfectly balanced in flavor and tenderness. The lobster fettuccine, seamlessly marries the richness of lobster with the finesse of homemade pasta. Kudos to the chef and the rest of the staff! Their expertise truly shines in every facet. The service was great from Luke and Jess.

We had a good dinner at Gallatin River Lodge. We hadn't been there since the pandemic and enjoyed our time there with friends. It was quieter than we expected...which facilitates conversation.
