Did I think that visiting Bozeman, MT would lead to me finding one of my favorite restaurant experiences? No. Did it happen? Yes. The perfect culmination of a wonderful dining experience and phenomenal food. You sit at the counter and get to watch a lot of this meal get created in addition to chatting with chef Paul. You then get to have your option of the best cocktails Bozeman has to offer created by Maddi. Don’t balk at the price tag, embrace the experience because you won’t be let down. I will be back here every time I’m in Bozeman because this is a top 5 restaurant in the US for me.

Service was very good - wait staff took orders promptly, kept water glasses filled, food arrived quickly, dishes cleared promptly, and bill arrived in timely manner. The calamari was delicious, and we especially liked the Johnny Ringo.

Chef Paul, his FOH Maddy and Sous Marcus provided a wonderful dining experience. Is it expensive? Yes. To bring the quality of fish and other ingredients to the mountain west costs money, and in the intimate environment which they work it is a necessity to keep the doors open. If you are picky, skip it. If you have an ego, skip it. Approach the staff as humans and you will be rewarded with an unrivaled experience in Bozeman. Certainly one of the best if not the best experience I’ve had had here and I am excited for what is next.

For them to claim this is Omasake is a stretch. We had maybe 3 actually pieces of sushi and the rest was subpar weird cooked dishes. I’ve had Omasake is several other five star places in big cities and this just ain’t it for what you’re paying.

What an experience. Pure heaven. So creative and perfect. For every momentous occasion in our life, this is where my husband and I go. He chided me for writing this, he doesn’t want reservations to be even more difficult to obtain. ?

Oh...if I could give you 10 stars and eat there M-F too! It is such a unique dining experience every time you can sit at this fine Omakase sushi bar. Be prepared to try things you may never have again--and in a way that you wish you could describe! Fabulous skills by Paul and Maddi--with a friendly, non-pretentious vibe. I can't wait to sit down again! Worth it, IMO. But if you hate raw fish, dislike vegetables prepared in different ways, need a bunch of butter or only like red meat--this is not your jam...maybe just get a fabulous cocktail from Maddi and say..."no thank you?" I am sure there is some scalping going on behind the scene for seats there.. it is just that good!
