Really yummy mushrooms appetizer. Con: they don’t have vegan noodles but you can sub in rice. Delicious ramen broth.
My friend and I just ate dinner there with you guys for ladies night tonight! We had excellent service & excellent food, we Were so happy to get in and enjoy your spectacular restaurant! We will be back! This review was written last month (Nov., 2024) and luckily, we went in last night, which happened to be their last night before closing… permanently… But we hope not, as always the food and service were excellent, and I really hope to see Tanoshii pop up back in Bozeman again! Please!!!!! So sad to see our new favorite place shut down!

Food: food was really good with great flavors. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles the most. The portions are quite small for the price. The only downside.
Service: Server was kind and knowledgeable.
Atmosphere: Very small restaurant. Recommend getting a reservation. It did have some fun music!

We ended up at this restaurant while we were on our way to our dinner date at another restaurant, thinking this restaurant would be closed. However, the server made sure that nothing would be closed, and we could have our dinner as long as we wanted. So we decided to give it a try, and I am glad we did. Firstly, we were not expecting such delicious and unique food at this place. We are fans of Asian food and we love this place and its unique dishes. We especially enjoyed their rainbow carrots, bowls, and veggie ramen with tofu. Everything was amazing. Their drinks were also great. We actually ordered one more item after finishing dinner just to try another dish, haha. Everything looks yum and well presented. Overall, it's a great place in downtown Bozeman, with wonderful staff and a great atmosphere, along with delicious food. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. Even our Airbnb host recommended this place.

I have been here three times and been very impressed. The service is relaxed and friendly but still very professional. The food is very good and the price (for Bozeman) is reasonable. I plan on going back often.

My $23 pork ramen was served luke warm. As a Hawaiian who grew up among Japanese folk, i must advise everybody to avoid this overpriced white mans establishment.
Serving soup cold is an automatic fail in all cultures around the world.

This is the best restaurant in bozeman in my opinion. We have tried a lot of them and my wife and I keep going back to this one.

This place is SO good, my meal was divine! The kind where you can't shut up about it even as you're eating it. But, friendly tip for them...turn down the lighting! The venue is tiny with an open kitchen, all super awesome. But it means the tables ate pretty much on top of each other. Dim lighting would go a long way in making this feel less awkward. The combination of brushing elbows with your neighbor and bright harsh lights isn't a good one. Just a friendly tip to management!
Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't say this is a kid friendly place, at least not small children. The tables are so tight I'd definitely feel like a nuance to whoever was next to me (i.e. right on top of me)

Not great at all. The ramen tasted really bland. Wouldn’t recommend it. Go elsewhere.

Can’t say enough about the incredible service, awesome vibes & artisan food at Tanoshi. The chicken & waffles were such a perfect ensemble of flavor & texture, the bao buns were so delish, and I’m obsessed with the pickles. We’re life long customers here!
