The food was very, very good! I had the black bean jalapeno burger with avocado inside and sweet potato waffle fries on the side. Best waffle fries I've ever had! And the burger was buttery and really yummy.
The wait staff were great but there happened to be a group of 22 people so we ended up waiting over an hour at our table to get food. IMHO once you seat some one there is an implied level of service. If you knew you were short on capacity you should either not seat someone or at least mention there would be a long delay if they were seated. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were quite large.
I have been going to the Club for over 20 years. The recent upgrades are great (carpet, chairs, lighting..). Serving on the wooden planks and fries in a metal container are a not needed change. The wood is a breeding ground for bacteria - and seems like a lot more work as well as difficulty to cary The prices went up, perhaps due to the, change from plates, etc.
I highly recommend going back to plates - if it ain't broke don't fix it.
