This space is absolutely amazing! I'm in love with this entire hotel! The drinks were great, people watching was spectacular! Service was good - I wouldn't say exceptional... but definitely acceptable. It seemed there are several locals that garnered the attention of the bartenders, which is totally fine! Highly recommend!

We stayed in a motel-inn room. It was nice and comfortable. Very good bed. The bathroom had good water pressure. The location is good for historic Butte, but the area was surprisingly Calmeyer. There were very few options for dinner within walking distance, and we didn’t find anywhere open for breakfast in the morning. The lobby in the hotel was lovely and well preserved, but the bar was closed and there were no breakfast possibilities. The area was good for walking though if you want to see the buildings in the center (many quite beautiful)

Staff was fantastic and the rooms were VERY clean; whole hotel is well loved and it shows. Stayed in the historic tower. Bed and pillows were comfy. Great downtown location, walkable, close to good restaurants like the new M&M and North 46. Would stay here again!

I stayed in the Motor Inn side - check in was fast and easy. Dining options are limited - and options close early. Great Bar on site - they infuse their own and it is YUMMY. Bartenders were Fabulous!! Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Loved Butte and will definitely stay here again.

Night before st. Pat's no better time to go. Beautiful ballrooms. Nice size lounge and the bagpipes ;)
My coworker stayed in a boring chain hotel, but I jumped at the chance to choose an interesting historic building instead. The Finlen isn’t for everyone, lacking some of the amenities of newer hotels, but my room was very clean and everything in it worked. I was also able to take some nice walks around uptown Butte, something I can’t do in modern hotels on the outskirts of a town. The daily maid service was a nice touch, unlike many other hotels using Covid as an excuse to take housekeeping service away. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful. If I have reason to return to Butte, I would definitely stay in this unique time-warp hotel again.

The Cav is one of my favorite bars in Butte. I love all the bar tenders. They are sitting on a gold mine of potential. There is a beautiful 1920's ball room. Typically in Butte, business owners sit on great potential and don't understand what their greatest assets are.... So the owner is a little stodgy about opening the ball room and booking cultural events in there... But as Butte grows I'm sure they will figure it out. The main bar is 1970s Frank Lloyd wright influenced type of architecture you see in old world LA... Retro hotel vibes. I was never a cocktail man... Then I started going to The Cav... Where they make great cocktails. \"When in Rome\".

Vibes. Staff was funny as heck (high snark, which I love) and had a very local feel. I think I was the only hotel guest in there. Most others seemed like locals.

Somehow upscale and laid back at the same time. A great Butte bar, in that you never know who you're going to see there. Located within the Finlen Hotel, this bar has cozy seating at tables, as well.The staff is amazing and conscientious. It's a great place to meet your friends and maybe some new ones.
