“Arrived on a whim as it was one of the few food/pubs open on a Monday evening. I was greeted by a friendly bartender. There were a few beer on tap options, the usual basic beers like coors. There were a few more variety of cans available. Hoping to find some local options I found one that seemed legit. Coincidentally it also happened to be trivia night.. I've never played bar trivia. With it being free fun, I couldn't refuse. I had a fun time, although the crowd was several decades younger than myself. I ordered the cheesesteak and fries to go. The fries were very good and well seasoned. The sandwich was too salty. I did appreciate the real cheese and the meat was cooked well. I would try another menu item… but hopefully with less salt.”

“This place is a total gem, not for everyone, but we loved the cozy feel and glorified down home hotdogs (as the name says). If you are in the area, definitely try it out, Mr Hotdog is one of our go-to's in Butte.Cash only”

“Wow!!!!! There aren't any great options for breakfast where we are currently staying/visiting so we decided to drive to Melrose for a Sunday breakfast! So worth the drive. The building itself is so cute and staff were very welcoming. Coffee was spot on. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. We had the eggs with a side and French toast. Loved it all but I must say The French toast topped the cake for me!!!! I love sweets! This French toast was filled with flavor with every bite I took! I also loved how it was cooked! Most places over cook French toast....not here!!! We are already thinking of returning to try their lunch or dinner menu!!!! I didn't take photos because I was too busy enjoying my food.”

“This was an incredibly lucky find, especially as we found it about an hour before closing time, yay for us! We really wanted a fresh salad in what appears to be a desert for anything but meat or bar food. We walked in and the first thing we saw was freshly baked bread loafs followed by an incredible farm to table menu. The soup of the day was fresh tomato soup. It had pieces of freshly grilled tomatoes in there also the pintler grilled cheese, which had fresh ingredients from the beefsteak or heirloom tomatoes to the pesto and the blue salad, so refreshing! Great ambiance with adequate volume of music and music selection and great service. We were blown away! Absolute, hands down recommend especially if you need a break from burgers and fried stuff!”

“I came here for my birthday and while the menu is small, the food was amazing and very delicious. Everything that I tried that night was flavored perfectly. I ordered the Turkish kabobs for my entree and was extremely satisfied. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and has a great historical vibe to it. I also loved the double toilet feature in the ladies room lol. I would definitely come back here. The experience, service, and food was well worth the drive to Butte. And, for a party of 7, the whole timing of the items coming out from the kitchen was perfectly executed. The Baklava was brilliantly made!!”

“My husband and I stopped in today to get a couple Pastys to take home with us and cook later. After we paid we were given our cold pastys to go along with a free hot one covered In gravy to try. So very generous of the owner. It was delicious! We will definitely be making this a stop every time we pass through Butte. Thank you again!!”

“This is a great little local coffee shop in uptown Butte. I come here and honestly only get the Oro Fino specialty latte simply for the Mexican chocolate flavor! The lady making the drinks does a great job, and I always smile at the finished artwork when handed the drink. There's not a whole lot of seating tables, and my three visits this trip home has found the place pretty busy. The vibe here is artsy with the building having a gallery and printing press. Unique place for sure.”

“A local burger and shake place. I ordered the steak burger, tater “gems”, and chocolate shake. Service was friendly and informed me that the burger takes extra time. I appreciated the information from the employees. The food arrived in a timely fashion. The tater gems were not fresh, unfortunately many of them had become petrified gems. The burger was large and loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cheese. There was an additional sauce sort of like a thousand island dressing. Overall the burger was good! It was a bit on the dry side, but there was plenty of sauce to help. The flavor was good, but on the chewy side. The chocolate shake was smooth and sweet! Not a powerful chocolate flavor, more subtle. Overall I am glad I supported local, but the food needs a bit of an overhaul.”

“There’s been a pork chop sandwich war going on in Butte for as long as a fella can remember. In fact, just yesterday I was in the town of the French, aka Frenchtown, when a good friend and I were discussing the PCJ sammich and that other joints pork chop sammich. Well, I happened to be rolling down the 90 with an appetite and thought I’d hit PCJ at 11AM. That’s a good time to get a sammie. I rolled up to front row parking like the VIP I am and parked the ole work van myself cause valet isn’t on this early. I strolled into the restaurant to be greeted by some very fine and friendly people. One gal takes my order and serves my soda and the other brought my grub to go when it was done. Lemme tell ya, if I was a local Buttant, I’d be down here once a week to grab some grub. I’d like to try their other sammiches and burgers too. Oh hey, the fries were BOMB and they give you good dipping sauces. Don’t forget to tip!”

“Host was wonderful as well as server except that server didn’t know the menu or what was being served, was offered soup or salad but no soup available, calamari was delicious however our main courses fell flat, halibut wasn’t cooked throughly and pasta was reheated. Atmosphere nice and quiet”

“We had a youth basketball tournament in Butte and stopped at Pizza Ranch. The owner was accommodating to our large party (10+, no reservations). Service was incredible. We especially liked the thin crust and dessert pizza! Kids loved the arcade! Visiting again this weekend and planning to stop in to with our team!”

“The food was fabulous!! The front of house staff played on his phone a lot - granted wasn’t busy. The teapot was grimy.The carpet had visible debris under the table and the plastic table covers were sticky. Perhaps they were still remodeling? A good cleaning would take their dining room a loooong way. But damn the food was really good ?”

“I got fries and a large iced coffee to help me on my long drive. Why are the drive through servers always so surprised when I get an unflavored unsweetened iced coffee? They almost always have to ask a second time, "With nothing? Are you sure?" I'm always sure. It's a mystery. ?‍♂️”

“I have a couple minor tips / feedback to amp up the quality of oatmilk latte, overall this was a great experience! The customer service was excellent, the woman helping us was informative, kind, and patient as it was our first time there. She was detail oriented ensuring we got the drink we ordered and that it was made to our liking.To give this place an edge to its competitors, I would recommend using a different oat milk. The Costco oatmilk has a specific taste. Costco has the blue barista brand which is a much better option. Slightly pricier, but 10 times tastier. Also, the coffee was a bit too hot. I was too excited to taste it…Again, overall this was a great experience. They used real maple syrup and the service was excellent. The drive through experience was clean and the menu presented well. I would recommend this place! Also, GREAT prices!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free and vegan options!”

Carnivorous and vegetarian protein options...They operate their espresso machine fairly well, and they have a variety of nice teas.There are some inconsistencies in hours. For example their hours are until 3 pm, but sometimes they close at 2pm.There is a nice patio/garden for breakfast in the summer... But on nice days people will wait to sit there... So if you linger they'll ask you to sit somewhere else.All of the wait staff are super friendly...Sometimes they offer cocktails.Features: Tables are spaced far. But there are no local mask mandates at this time. Sign implies staff are vaccinated (kiss me, I'm Irish and vaccinated)Vegetarian options: Portobello mushrooms, avocado, and veggie "sausage" are all offered as meat replacements in omelettes etc.No spinach as of this writing.Numerous vegetarian toasted sandwiches and salads.Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten free bread usually, but I think it is slightly more expensive.Parking: At the west end of the block east of the restaurant there is a small parking lot with several spots for Hummingbird Cafe only. This is maybe 200 feet from the entrance. But it is usually easier to just park on the street in front of the cafe.Kid-friendliness: There is a shelf with little games and books/comics.”

“I wouldn't call this mexican, more like, mountain mexican? The sauces they use are rich, robust and more akin to gravy in flavor. The chili verde had chunks of chicken and tasted like chicken gravy. The meal wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I think of when I think of mexican. I'd say give it a shot you might like it, if not there are other options. It's certainly popular locally.Side note: not much in the way of spice, but most people around here don't seem to like spicy. Im sure if you request it they can kick it up for you. They were certainly accommodating to me.”

“Food is great. Unfortunately I have to write this. So, it appears they have no set limit on how long their fish stays under the hot lamp. I ordered a fish burrito, drove to a nice spot to eat, and the fish was hard as rock. Felt like I was going to chip a tooth. Other than this experience, everything is great. You guys gotta find out the limit of how long the fish can stay under the hot lamp. Maybe make the fish fresh per order. I was really craving a fish burrito, but was let down immensely.”

“A legacy always worth visiting. The portions are large and the grease is delicious. Perfect place for a beer-induced hangover. Service is commensurate with location. Super cool they reopened after the fire. Doesn't have nostalgia like before but would return when in area. Hopefully they are able to do something with the sinkhole next door.”

“We come over from Anaconda once or twice a week. We enjoy the food very much. The chicken is the best around with mashed potatoes, hot veggies, pasta, biscuits and gravey. The pizza is yummy too. If you don't see the pizza you want they are more than happy to make a fresh hot pizza to your liking. Their salad bar is always fresh with lots to choose from, cold and crispy and very tasty. Dessert is a real bonus! We enjoy the staff..a group of very hard workers...in this day and age with so many who don't want to work we should give grace to those who try to make our your dining experience very pleasant. There will always be one bad apple in any business that can throw you off, but this should not taint your experience...please give it another try and remember give people some grace as you might like it if your having a bad day. Enjoy your trip to Pizza Ranch, young or old, ball teams or family gatherings, clubs or just stopping off the interstate for a good meal...its a healthy alternative with a great price!”

“La Sirena is my favorite place to grab a bite in my community. Their food is made with thoughtfulness and love. I love the weekly rotating specials and cheesecake of the month, I am impressed with la Sirena's commitment and partnership with the community and their use of meat from our local meat block. If you get the opportunity to have breakfast on the rare occasion they serve it, you have to take it! I can't say enough good things about this place.”

“Delicious little hole in the wall.Got pork chop sandwich and fries with "white sauce" (recomened by cashier). Got all the fixing on the sandwich which was cooked about perfectly, fried chop was crispy but still moist on inside. Fries were seasoned and webby great with the white sauce which had a garlic kick to it.If you want iced tea it's at the pitchers on the counter by the cashier, nice and strong too.”

“Ookay, maybe I was just hungry and uber tired, but I had had a terrible day, was made to feel horrible by a printer in Bozeman and then hubby had to go back to work to help a fellow employee and I went with him and we did not get done til almost 8pm. The lady at the counter could tell I was hot and having trouble seeing, instead of accusing me of being out of control, she offered to have me just tell her what I wanted and not need to know the number. She was friendly, helpful and fast. The food came up quickly and the spicy chicken sandwich was delicious. It was such a relief to be treated so kindly by someone so enthusiastic about their job. My first job, back in the 70's, was with Gino's, that was KFC with Gino's burgers, a store very similar to this little place. Thanx for last night, I needed that.”

The wait staff top notch. Thank you "Back 9" for a outstanding meal, the view, we were treated w/kid gloves, we could not haveasked for 0ne thing to be better. MLClowerParking: There seemed to be more than a person might expect.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide sidewalk that was totally free of snow ❄️ ? then to enter there are 2 wide glass doors that opened easily then about 6/8 ft. there was a 2nd set of doorsto go through & you are then inside. NoStairs, then go pick a table sit back & enjoy one of Butte finest places to eat.”

“I am in town for a class at Montana Tech and don't have a car, so I walked up to the window and the lady working didn't shoo me away. She was super nice and helpful. The options for flavors were a lot, I was intrigued by the huckleberry and asked her opinion, she suggested pairing it with white chocolate. So I did an iced latte with those flavors. BOMB. I may get an extra shot if I order it again to balance it a little better, but the espresso is really smooth and the flavors are complimentary. Super good! Will definitely visit again!”

The draft beer was amazing and we did a flight along with our favorite. The menus choices were over the top it was hard to make a choice. I had a traditional bacon cheeseburger with homemade fries. “Good as usual, my only complaint is in the last 5 or so year the food quality has gone down alot. The eggs taste fake and over cooked. And some of the other stuff really sucks. Every once in a while they have a special that's really good. We went for breakfast yesterday and my grandma got the lemon blueberry French toast, whuch was good. I got the chocolate strawberry French toast, it was good but my eggs were soaked in the chocolate syrup, and the French toast was soggy.It just seems to be touch and go with the food anymore. We enjoy the staff..a group of very hard workers...in this day and age with so many who don't want to work we should give grace to those who try to make our your dining experience very pleasant. There will always be one bad apple in any business that can throw you off, but this should not taint your experience...please give it another try and remember give people some grace as you might like it if your having a bad day. “We had a large group. There was only one server for over 20 people. It took over an hour for the food to start coming out. Then a few dishes weren't up to the usual good standards. I know that staffing is an issue in many places, but the poor girl was over whelmed, and she did her best.Dietary restrictions: Great gluten-free pizza.”

“Host was wonderful as well as server except that server didn’t know the menu or what was being served, was offered soup or salad but no soup available, calamari was delicious however our main courses fell flat, halibut wasn’t cooked throughly and pasta was reheated. Atmosphere nice and quiet”

“First time having Buffalo Wild Wings. Best service, we love Sara, she is a really nice person and gave us recommendations on the food choices, and the parade they have here for Saint Patrick's Day. We got 20 piece wings, for the sauces we got Asian Zing, Original Buffalo, Honey Garlic, and Lemon pepper. My family's favorite was Asian Zing-It had like a sweet and spicy flavor to it. My favorite was original buffalo. Our least favorite was Lemon pepper, we did not like it at all. We licked the wing, and was like no its not for us. The atmosphere was since and calm, they had not that many people because it was the day before Saint Patrick's Day, which is a big thing here. For our appetizer we got the 3 sauces and chips, the sauces where Salsa, Guacamole, and a cheese dip. My favorite was the Guacamole it was really good!”

They have a full bar and great desserts. First-come, first-served. Prime rib is awesome! Try the Southwest chicken soup. Once a year they have Lobster Fest. Love it!”

“Oh my! I ordered a double cheeseburger and it was fresh and HOT! We arrived during the middle of lunch and our order came up hot and fast. We didn't even finish filling our drinks. As busy as they were they managed to keep the restaurant and bathrooms clean and neat!”

“Delicious little hole in the wall.Got pork chop sandwich and fries with "white sauce" (recomened by cashier). Got all the fixing on the sandwich which was cooked about perfectly, fried chop was crispy but still moist on inside. Fries were seasoned and webby great with the white sauce which had a garlic kick to it.If you want iced tea it's at the pitchers on the counter by the cashier, nice and strong too.”

“We went to Hwy 55 shortly after they first opened. I thought the burger was very good, and my wife liked the chicken strips. It was very busy inside, but Brooklyn (the waitress) checked on us often. Everything was clean inside considering how busy the staff was.”
