Went in for a bite to eat and some dessert. Was shown to our booth by a very nice young man and told our server would be on the way shortly. Her name was Alisha and she was ruder than rude from the very first interaction. She was practically yelling at us (no inside voice to be found and the dining room was quiet) and slammed our silverware down. She had attitude from the get-go, sighed all big, and rolled her eyes when we ordered a hot tea and decaf coffee. The tea was delivered within minutes the coffee legitimately took 25 minutes and she forgot the cup twice. My guest and I were shocked and instantly in my mind I thought we would not leave a tip (we did because we both work in customer service and would have felt terrible had we not).We only ordered an appetizer to split and then a dessert each. We waited about 45 minutes for chicken strips and fries because the kitchen burnt the first batch, but got our desserts quickly. At some point in the service Alisha underwent an attitude adjustment and was slightly more pleasant. She was still shouting and huffing at the most random stuff like when I asked for cream or when my guest requested an extra cup of hot water but we weren't as shocked at her behavior as we had been at the beginning. Perhaps Alisha should strive to behave more like her younger coworkers at the hostess stand and other servers we observed throughout the restaurant. After Alisha's performance we got the bill and as we were paying an ant started crawling on our table. The little guy was the least offensive guest at our table the entire time. I have named him Jeffrey and will provide a picture of the dapper gentleman on request. So, I guess it will be a while before I am at a Rib & Chop again but especially Butte's. Bozeman, Billings, and Livingston have all been nothing but good experiences. It is too bad one employee can jeopardize the respect of a location.

Food was sub par and being a chef. I could tell that they didn’t have the good quality of product and their cooking experience was lacking.

Amazing food, I love their Garlic bread and the carrots souffle was a perfect light side. Our waiter was a sweetheart. Rib and Chop has been my go to restaurant for 6 years for any special occasion or when I feel a bit more on the fancy side.

My husband and I recently ate here on a Friday night for a date night as it had been ages. This was our second time coming here and we were excited because our first experience was amazing! Food was good and the waiter was wonderful. This recent experience was the opposite of our first visit and we left annoyed and disappointed. The place was busy but not so busy to justify the experience. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and was seated very quickly. Waitress finally came by with menus and asked for our drink order where we asked for 1 soda, 1 drink from the bar, and 2 waters. We eventually received the water and soda, but it took a while for the alcohol drink to be delivered. We placed our order and got our appetizer super fast- it was delicious!Time ticked by and we didn't see our waitress to even check on the table but noticed in our area 4 other couples were seated, orders placed, food received, and eaten. During this time we also noticed the party of 8 (who was seated before we arrived) placed their order, ate their food, go through a birthday celebration, pay for their food, and leave before we even got our food. It took over an hour to receive our food. This is unacceptable. Especially when compared to the other four couples and what food they ordered as their orders were comparable to ours.It was getting to the point my husband was making comments about paying for the drinks and leaving, which for him to get to that point is pretty rare. We eventually saw the waitress and she told us she would check on the food and let us know. Our "update" was 10-15 minutes later where she brought the food to the table with the comment of "finally". We took her "finally" to mean the food finally came up which I call bull on because my macaroni and cheese was cold, my husband's gravy on his chicken was cold, and my little steak was not piping hot (lukewarm at best) for the food to "finally" come out. Not to mention I ordered medium well and it came out well-done, borderline dry, and oversalted.Maybe it was the waitress, kitchen staff, combination of both, or just an off-night for the restaurant but needless to say we'll wait a while before returning as there are other restaurants for date night closer to home that we don't need to drive over half an hour to for that kind of service and food.

We had our food pretty quickly, with extra stuff asked for. The atmosphere is inviting, large area, nicely decorated. The waitress was good at first, but then never refilled our waters and wasn't around after my glass was empty tobask to refill it. We asked for our steaks to be medium, mine was but over seasoned, my husband's was very rare, pretty much raw.I ordered a decaf coffee when she came asking about boxes, and it was crazy strong, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't decaf. So over all it was an okay experience. We enjoyed time with family.

This place is HORRIBLE! The food was served cold and the service was slower than I have ever experienced anywhere. Pulled pork is fatty and dry without sauce. The buffalo chicken is dry and highly breaded. The hamburger.....didn't even look like a burger. Over cooked . Had to ask for condiments, water, drink refills. Manger comped the meal but without explanation or apology.

I’m local and I have come in here about once a month for years. This will be my last time.Place wasn’t crowded. Sat in the bar. And sat. And sat. Sat 15 minutes until a bus girl asked if I wanted a menu. Then 15 minutes more before a waiter asked if I wanted a drink. I asked if they had everything listed in the tap menu. He said yes. Then the first three beers I ordered were "out".The waiter dropped my saltines on the floor. And then put them back on my soup plate ?.Then my "jambalaya" came out- Totally different than it has been for years. It was awful. No sausage. Wrong noodles. Tasted like hamburger helper. Just something like canned meat and a couple overcooked shrimp.Everything about the dining experience screamed “stay home and order a pizza”

I ordered online for delivery when we were on vacation. When the order was delivered, it was missing one item and there was one side that was incorrect. I immediately called and the manager asked what they could do to make it right. He told me they could refund $40 but that the refund would come from Door Dash. He said he would contact them and take care of it. I said that would be great. I’ve been trying to get this resolved since early October and until today was convinced the restaurant would make things right. I spoke to the general manager, Steve, on October 30th after having called 2 previous times and he assured me he would take care of the problem. I never heard back from him. He gave me his email address and he never had the courtesy to even respond to two emails I sent. Both managers were extremely polite, and I felt that they were going to follow through with making things right. But, they have done nothing. I spoke with Steve this morning and asked if he was really going to do anything or not, and he told me it was between me and Door Dash. He said if I was local, he would give me a gift card but since I’m not, I have to take it up with Door Dash. I didn’t do business with Door Dash. I dealt with the restaurant. The restaurant manager and general manager both assured me I would get the refund. They were not sincere. Even though I don’t live in the area, if I ever travel back through there I will NEVER do business with them again. The managers being nice to me doesn’t put the money back in my account that was promised.

In Montana for work and had this place recommended to us. The atmosphere was almost sports bar meets bbq joint. The bar would definitely be a good place to catch the game! It's very open and welcoming. The service was great. Our waitress was kind and provided what we needed efficiently. The food was a little slow, but it was lunch time and we had a party of six. I got the western burger and it was pretty good. Often times you get a burger and there's just no flavor - you have to really pack on the condiments to make it worth it, but not with this one. It was good the way it was. It was also very large. I ate a quarter of it. The guys at the table all devoured theirs though! All in all it was a good visit and I'd definitely be open to trying more options!
