Poorly run reasturant. I showed up 30 minutes before closing and waiting in line for 10 minutes to have the cook say that they are not taking any more orders. Some heads up some notification would have been nice.

Such a unique little spot—full of charm and character.
The owner was absolutely kind and welcoming. We didn’t realize it was cash only, but he was so understanding and let us run out to grab cash 💵.
The place is super adorable inside—cozy, colorful, and full of fun details—the music and the food is just as unique as the atmosphere.
Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again! 💛

Mr. Hot Dogs in Butte is a gem! Visited today (7/26/25) and was blown away by the massive, delicious portions...those Montana beef hot dogs on homemade buns are unreal. The cozy, intimate vibe with checkered tablecloths feels like home, and you can see the owner’s passion in every dish. I’m already craving more. 5 stars, can’t wait to return!

Mr. Hot Dogs is a hidden gem. A homey and cozy dining area, as well as charming and friendly service from the gentleman cooking the food, this restaurant has an excellent atmosphere. The food was equally as good, the open-faced brats that I had were truly comfort food. The single con was that only cash and checks are accepted.

I was on a roadtrip with my best friend (we are from Minnesota) and we stopped in. This place lived up to its great reviews- a hidden gem within the town of Butte. The outside is a bit deceiving, but don’t let that fool you. The food, service, and ambience were all great. The quality and quantity of food for the price (about $10.50/ dog and chips). They also have Italian food, which looked incredible! The owner works on his own and makes everything himself. Whether you’re staying or stopping through, add this place to your list. It will not disappoint !

The hot dog itself was good, but I was so disapointed when ordering a Chicago Dog for $10. It didn't come close. Jalapeno peppers instead of sport peppers, celery sticks instead of celery salt, bun and more was wrong. Just call it something else, it would be fine. Disappointed!

Visiting Butte Montana to enjoy the 4th of July with family. Drove by and had to try. Not a disappointment. Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. My picky daughter loved the pizza, had a slice myself and it was delicious. My husband and I enjoyed a Chicago Dogs. Best Hot dogs! All beef, amazing buns and only $10-

We got two hotdogs, Philly and Chicago, to go. Both hotdogs were awesome. At first, we weren’t going to go because there didn’t look to be any parking. However, there is parking behind the restaurant reserved for the place. The guy who took our order and cooked the food was great. He told us locally sourced dogs from a nearby ranch and in house made buns. Both were awesome. Will be back!
