Shawn O'Donnell's American Grill and Irish Pub

We were in Butte for a getaway and wanted to check out all the spots in uptown. Our last stop was Shawn O’Donnells. When we walked in it felt like “we were home.” We bellied up to the bar with a warm and fun greeting from Irish Johnny. The service and food were excellent. We loved this place!

I could not live life happily without the Boxty Cakes and bread pudding. They are both magical and must tries. The Butte Mule is a great cocktail and the atmosphere is perfection. 💚 ☘️

I've had 5 great meals from here now. Perfectly prepared by excellent cooks. This prime rib french dip is just had is amazing. Irish Johnny and the staff are great and very friendly. 100% recommend this place for dine in, take out, or doordash.

Best pub in town! The food is wonderful, my friends & family have tried almost everything on the menu, it’s hard to pick between such great options! The chicken pot pie on a cold winter day is the perfect combination. Best Guinness in town! Very friendly atmosphere, our waitress Cara was sweet& attentive even during a very busy night! We love this place, it feel like home from the second you step inside. Highly recommend!!

EXCELLENT place to eat, I absolutely loved the food. And great service, BUT! Who in the world charges for a refill of soda? I’m already paying $3.99 for one cup of Mountain Dew, … waitress asked if I want a refill, got the refill, finished dinner, got the bill, and I was charged $7.99 for a Mountain Dew…. And she said “ I’ll have to ask the manager if I can take the refill off”… now that’s just crazy for a fountain pop…

What an incredible gem we received when they arrived in Butte! They’ve added to our history and our future! Heaven is amazing with service that everyone should strive for! We will be back many times!

Heaven is an amazing bartender. The Guinness comes straight from Ireland and the bar food is some of the best you’ll have in Butte! Definitely a must check out spot if you’re visiting!

Food is wonderful. First time trying this establishment. I had Pot pie,husband had Beef stew oh my goodness so good. We have to go back and try something else for sure. Highly recommend Staff very friendly and helpful

Female bartender working Friday November 8th 3- 4pm, wasn't very busy but I felt like she got stuck waiting on us. 2 sets of silverware on the table for 4 and we received our food but she didn't ask if we needed anything else. It took me 5 minutes to flag her down for the other two sets of silverware we needed. Her attitude wasn't friendly like the other other servers. She was more pleasant for the table next to us. My mother-in-law was buying my birthday dinner so I asked if they had any birthday specials, she didn't think so but didn't know and didn't offer to check. I had to flag her down for boxes, etc. She had time to talk to other servers - wasn't hurrying, didn't have a bunch of people at the bar. We are party split up, my boyfriend sat at the bar and I was trying get myself situated on my chair. She got a beer for him and hurried away without offering me anything. I had to shout down the bar I would like to have a Pepsi. I gave her a $2 tip on his $8 beer to be nice. I don't know if my Mother-in-law gave her a tip or not as I know she didn't care for her service. Finally, my cabbage from Corned Beef and Cabbage Meal was not braised at all. I am taking it home to boil it and eat it with the great tasting Corned beef.
