Great food and exceptional service. If you’re in Montana, this is a must! With a rich history in an homely feel, this is a great destination for a bite to eat and a few cheeky drinks! Don’t forget to visit the merch for some cute additions to your wardrobe.

A great place for food and a slice of Butte.

Metals is a sports oriented bar.

Great spot with lots of sports memorabilia . Interesting as it was a bank and the vault is a seating area. Lots of local beers and delicious French onion soup

Good staff. Lots of TVs. Okay food. Bread pudding wasn’t very good. We enjoyed the wrap and soup. Asked for pasta salad but delivered waffle fries.

The burgers are delicious, Recommend having onion rings on the side with the burger. The normal pepperoni pizza is good. Would recommend getting a picture by the vault. Depends on the day you eat their on, if it’s mid week food would be really good! Bison ravioli is amazing, if you can ask for more Cherrys. Other wise Would recommend!

We were looking for a place to watch the hockey game and found Metals. Not only did they have a great set up to watch sports, the food was very good! Blackened Mahi Mahi was juicy and full of flavor and the Big M Salad with Steak was huge and full of good stuff. The prices for beer and wine are very reasonable. Great food, great service and a great spot to watch the game. What more could you ask for?

We stopped for dinner. A really nice atmosphere, the old bank vault and the high ceilings. It was 7:45 when we arrived, they had a sign up stating they were closing at 8:00 for kitchen upgrades or cleaning. We asked if it was too late to get some dinner and they responded no come on in! I ordered ice tea, when I requested a refill I was told they dumped it out already. My shrimp alfredo was very good. My wife had a chicken pasta and she said the chicken was really tough. She ate the pasta but not the chicken. Our server was very nice and took 15% off the pasta dish and offered us a free dessert. We ordered the bread pudding, but they were out! We had a cheese cake and it was very good. So hard to give a rating here, they failed in some areas yet made every attempt to make it right but even that sort of fail short. Maybe if it had not been so close to closing time things would have been better? If in the area again we would give them another try.

This place is awesome. Old bank building. They did a great job of restoring the original features. Staff was friendly, food was good.

This is a really cool sports bar in Butte, Montana. We were driving from Glacier to Yellowstone and stopped here for lunch. Great sports bar scene, great service and food was really good and reasonably priced. The Rueben was really good and tasty! Would highly recommend this place for a good meal in this town.

Staying overnight in Butte, Montana, we went to Metals Sports Bar & Grill on a recent bus tour from Utah to Canada. It is a historic bank building from early days of mining. Much of the building and décor have been preserved from that time, including the enormous vault with its huge door intact. One of the parties in our group was actually seated inside the vault for the meal. In typical sports bar style, the décor included historic memorabilia, local & regional sports items. There was even a place that claimed to be the smallest casino, with 2 slot machines. There were a few stairs up from the sidewalk level to the restaurant. I did not notice if there was accommodation for mobility impaired diners. The food was pub-style food—not my favorite, but good quality and enjoyable. The menu featured a wide selection of things to choose. We also had a chocolate & peanut butter dessert that was very yummy. The service seemed a little slow, but I give them credit because there were a lot of customers, and we had a quite large group. The wait-staff were pleasant and welcoming, and did a great job. The restaurant is located up on the hill in the historic district of town, and there is a lot of interesting architecture and quaint restored and repurposed buildings up that way.

Spectacular setting, in old bank lobby. Good place for sports viewing. Menu was extensive, portions were generous and decent value but the fish was way overcooked , dry and tough. Probably the hamburgers and beef options are the way to go. Very good service, nice atmosphere. You probably should go there but avoid the fish unless they are instructed to go easy on it.

Stopped in on a Saturday night. It was busy but not crazy, still has open tables. Or server was very nice and was hustling around. I didn’t catch her name. We waited a long time for our sandwiches, about 45 minutes. Finally says something when people who were seated after us got their food before us. The server was apologetic (not her fault) and then brought out our food shortly after. Unfortunately it was disappointing. We had a French dip and Turkey wrap. Turkey wrap seemed to have a lot of liquid in it which I didn’t care for. My husband said his French dip was good, just messy. Not sure if we’ll go back. If you go just be prepared to wait and I wouldn’t recommend the Turkey wrap
