We visited here at 1:30 pm on a Friday. It's busy with a lot of people eating here. The service is slow so if you have time to sit for a while, then this is it. The place looks clean and the staff is friendly. I had the chicken fried steak and the girls Philip steak since they only are a little. Both tasted good although the hash browns could have been cooked longer. I would prefer eating here over McD or BK or similar.
So after driving 40 miles round trip to go to Sugar Shack and finding it closed, I went to Spud's. My server was very friendly. I had the grilled chicken salad. It was very nice with plenty of chicken. I wasn't able to finish it all.

Just good cafe cooking. Serve breakfast all day. Efficient, friendly staff. I had country fried steak and eggs which was perfectly cooked. I had to take the steak home cause it was so big. I’m glad this small town has this asset.
