Very cool little place, we made it just in time. They were due to close for the season three days after we got there. They made me a great club sandwich. My buddy wanted a grilled cheese with turkey. They were out of Turkey but we happened to have some in the cooler in the truck so they used the turkey from our cooler. That was amazing service. I'll definitely visit again when I make it back to the area.
Cooke City, a tiny town at the north edge of Yellowstone National Park is not where you would expect to find a wonderful restaurant, but the Bistro is. The owner/chef is French, spending half the year in France and the summer in Cooke City. We found this gem on its last day before closing in October 2023, so the menu was extremely limited. But the hamburgers (bacon/cheese - mushroom/Swiss were absolutely superb, as were the fries (way, way beyond the typical). But the great surprise...read full review

Had a medium rare steak and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the hot ham and cheese sandwich and said it was very good.Would highly recommend. Was staying in Cooke City for Yellowstone visit. Off the beaten path but very good.
