This is not going to be that helpful in deciding where to eat but please don’t eat here..the staff are kind and thoughtful and I’m sure happy with the tips… the food is overpriced on a level that makes absolutely no sense .. it is just pure greed and taking advantage of the idiots willing to pay these prices. No thanks and no in general.. please support your local mom and pop joints that are not trying to retire prematurely at the cost of the community they are supposed to serve.

I took my boyfriend Alan Bechtle, to the black tail restaurant last year for his birthday.. We had the prime rib. Delicious!!!

First off, our server was wearing shorts. I realize its a casual atmosohere but in my opinion, he should be wearing pants in a restaurant. We ordered: calamari strips, fish n chips and the chicken burger with the add-on of bacon and jalapenos. All dishes were absolutely delicious! However,
the server forgot to put the fish and chips in as an order so the calamari and burger came first. He advised he would give us a discount. Server came and asked if we were ready for a ticket.
I (the female of the couple) said yes. He proceeded to bring the ticket, sat it by my husband. I took it and went up to pay at the bar. He took my bank card and disappeared. That is the first time I have ever had my bank card taken away to process payment! A couple minutes passed and I realized he had taken the ticket and my bank card and put it on the table by my husband. I went and got it and went back to the bar. I noticed he didn't give us a discount for forgetting to order part of our dinner. He fidgeted around, recruited some assistance, reimbursed my card, gave me $5 off our meal and charged my card again. Now, that in my opinion is terrible, discriminatory service. A female comes to the bar to pay the ticket, deal with her not disappear with her bank card and then return it to the table where the man sits!!!!! Terrible!!!!
Again, the food was amazing! Just feel this server needs some guidance on how to dress and how to serve customers accordingly.

Mac's has really good food, good drinks,, great people working there, no loud music blasting from speakers so you can visit. Generally very fast getting orders out. Great place for small group gathering with snacks.

Really cool place with great atmosphere and great service. I'd only come here again if I had almost 2hrs to burn, that's how long it took on this visit. Only had pizza the day I came and yet the table next to me got nachos? They ended up giving my pizza to another table, oddly enough a common thing that happens to me. Pizza we received was underwhelming, crust was stiff like the premade crust you buy from the grocery store. Still enjoyed this place, I'd come back to try other food and if I had almost 2 hrs to burn which isn't ideal for a road trip. One medium sized pizza and 3 beers came out to almost $50

We’ve been in Dillon since July ‘23 for work. It’s almost June ‘24 now. We all assumed “the Den” or “Sparkys” were the only places in town to eat. We go out every other week or so. Every time we’d go out we’d leave disappointed. Maybe the food was bad, or the service, or the price. We’d heard of “Mac’s last cast” from a local friend and thought we oughta give it a go. The service was fantastic. The gals were all friendly, attentive, and workin hard. Good atmosphere. Most importantly, my beer was never empty. I grew up in Big Timber MT. I know good beef when I taste it. I consider myself a bit of a burger connoisseur. I wasn’t disappointed. That’s the first time in Dillon Montana I felt like ide gotten what I paid for. Thank you “Mac’s last cast”.
