Logan was a great server. Very helpful and friendly. Sheri checked on us as well. Queso is a must! Fish and chips with slaw was so good. Pulled pork sandwich was so yummy. You can't go wrong.

Don’t come here for the food, which is mediocre at best. Examples: the enchiladas come with black beans from a can that weren’t even rinsed let alone cooked. The queso was made from scratch—and the roux not cooked long enough, so it tasted like flour. The “red coconut curry” was veggies from a freezer bag and salad bag (peas and carrots overcooked, broccoli raw) in a dubious sauce with curry powder. I paid to add chicken, but got a weird curry in which chicken had been cooked so long its flavor was gone. Meh. Drinks were great, though.

The fries were BURNT, they seriously needed to change the oil. When we mentioned it the gal bringing the food she said, ‘don’t judge until you try them.’ None of us ate the fries and the fish was mediocre at best! Very overpriced! One and done!

We just got into town for a week and stopped into the Gravel Bar to eat. We were greeted immediately by the hostess and she was extremely friendly and polite.
Our waitress was working behind the bar and she came right over to our table to say hi and bring water. She was friendly, cheerful, and very fast with our drinks and food. We enjoyed having her wait on us. She recommended the Scotch Ale and it was an amazing dark beer! SO delicious!!!
We had the Cobb salad with chicken and the shepard’s pie. Both were so freakin’ good that we destroyed them and had no leftovers!! 😂😂
We definitely plan to go back here while in Ennis; the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is rustic and cool, the food is awesome, and the prices are very reasonable!!!

I love the wings here. That said, they completely botched my to go order AGAIN last night. I ordered a plate of wings while I waited for my 2 cowboy burgers and 1 cheeseburger plus another order of wings to go. Sadly when I got the order home, I realized that they had given me just three regular cheeseburgers. No onion rings, no Chipotle BBQ. But they charged me the extra fee for the special burgers. The only thing they got right was the wings.
On other visits we have gotten burnt burgers and missing items. Its always go orders that get messed up.
Please do better Gravel Bar kitchen staff. Check the order before you send it out the kitchen. It's not hard.
