I cannot rank Chef Alex and crew high enough. Six stars for the service, friendliness, decor, and awesome food.

Rotating specials are always a treat and you can often find neighborhood folks in for trivia during the nighttime.

Well worth the drive from Great Falls for the vibes and the quality bbq!

The barbecue meal was absolutely delightful. The assortment of meats was perfectly smoked and tender, bursting with rich, savory flavors that danced on the palate. The tangy barbecue sauce was the perfect complement to the succulent meats. The French fries were a triumph, golden and crispy with a satisfying crunch that paired well with every bite of meat. The pickles added a refreshing tanginess, cutting through the richness of the main dishes, while the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, with a delightful hint of smokiness. This meal was a fantastic combination of flavors and textures, making it a truly enjoyable dining experience.. Overall, a highly satisfying and memorable feast! 🍖🍟🧀🍺

A quaint little BBQ with not not so quaint dishes and flavors!
Tucked away in a beautiful courtyard, we have never had a shortage of food or flavor. A variety of BBQ mixed in with new creativity makes for taste bud pleasure. A beautiful view of the Missouri River awaits as you enter and walk happy.

What a great place! We had the burnt ends with cornbread and loved it. The food came out hot and tasty. We have eaten at the Union Grille and it was ok (high priced) but will definitely return here.

Very friendly staff and a good sense of humor from the waitress. Prices were very fair for the good quality sandwiches we had.

We drove to Ft. Benton specifically for the Sunday Brunch. We were not disappointed. My husband had the Cornbread French Toast with fresh berries and I had the BBQ Pork Sandwich with pickled cabbage and homemade chips. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. We also ordered the Beignets. Wow! In addition to the powdery puffed pastry they came with a side of fresh whipped cream and what tasted like an apricot dipping sauce. Chef Alex was very accommodating and paid attention to the customer needs. Restaurant was quaint and well maintained. Live music was playing and was told there is live music on the first Sunday of every month. If you are ever in Ft Benton this is a must for a unique meal.

We came here multiple times over the course of a five day trip to Fort Benton. Over these several days, we had brunch (Sunday), lunch and dinner throughout the week. All three meals were delicious. The burger is very good, brunch was also great. The food is priced reasonably for the portions. Thank you to Alex for all of his work!
PS - The Public House also catered my family members’ wedding this weekend and they did a PERFECT job serving well over 200 people! Great job Alex and team!

Kid-friendliness: Great place for families - several board games are in the finding area for families to use.
