Hands down the worst bbq I've ever eaten, four of us had, brisket, pork belly burnt ends and brisket burnt ends, chicken, pulled pork and slaw, none of it was good! It's shame what he charging and to think people rate it as good! Save your money and go elsewhere. You've been warned!

The best BBQ in Ft Benton, and dare I say all of Montana??? Alex took great care of us as we stumbled into The Public House just before closing time. We ordered a variety of sandwiches (Brisket, Chicken and Pork) with sides of cole slaw and mac & cheese - along with some tasty local beers!
The service was attentive and very efficient, and the quality of the food was outstanding. We just wish we had more time sit around and play games and enjoy the festive atmosphere of this restaurant. At the end or our meal we got a quick tour of the impressive BBQ smoker that produces such tasty meals. Thanks again Alex!

Pretty disappointed after expecting 4.7 star experience. Tonight I had the burnt ends. They were gristly and believe it has been some time (days) since they came off the smoker. If you're going to charge al a carte prices for bbq, it should be a lot better than this. Regret the experience and the waste of $35.

Beautiful location. Great BBQ. Friendly service. Wonderful place to have dinner. PS we were here two nights in a row as we were traveling between Havre and Great Falls... Enjoyed ourselves both times.

We've never actually eaten here, both times we went, we were told it would be an hour to an hour & a half wait time. We were told to try it by our friends who live there.
Don't go for breakfast. Very bland biscuits and gravy and eggs benedict. Both made with what they called biscuits but not even close. Eggs Benedict didn't use English muffin or ham. A far stretch from the original.

2 stars are only because they were out of nearly EVERYTHING at 6pm on a Saturday. Out of all pork, chicken, brisket, sausage and most beers. We got to try burnt ends and cornbread. Cornbread was excellent.

I was in the area and decided to stop in since they were still open. I’m glad I did bc the lady there was incredibly nice and even shared a bit of the town’s history with me, which I appreciated! I also tried the pork tenderloin tacos 🌮 and they were amazing! Super tenedor and flavorful.I will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu! If you are in the area stop by before you head out!

I cannot rank Chef Alex and crew high enough. Six stars for the service, friendliness, decor, and awesome food.
Rotating specials are always a treat and you can often find neighborhood folks in for trivia during the nighttime.
Well worth the drive from Great Falls for the vibes and the quality bbq!

The barbecue meal was absolutely delightful. The assortment of meats was perfectly smoked and tender, bursting with rich, savory flavors that danced on the palate. The tangy barbecue sauce was the perfect complement to the succulent meats. The French fries were a triumph, golden and crispy with a satisfying crunch that paired well with every bite of meat. The pickles added a refreshing tanginess, cutting through the richness of the main dishes, while the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, with a delightful hint of smokiness. This meal was a fantastic combination of flavors and textures, making it a truly enjoyable dining experience.. Overall, a highly satisfying and memorable feast! 🍖🍟🧀🍺
