A wonderful dinner with friends which has been a long time coming. We drive by the Grand Union every day, but haven't taken in dinner together.
The waitress was fantastic! She has great suggestions about our menu choices which certainly didn't disappoint.
The Grand Union will not disappoint!!

They dont cater to their locals. The restaurant staff needs to be put in check with management and the owners.

cancelation policy is ridiculous. Had a death in the family over the weekend. Funeral in Ogden UT on Friday and Saturday this weekend. try to cancel or reschedule our dates. They have to have 1 week notice. I realize they only have 5 days now to fill the room but not even with a death and funeral that I must attend. Not good customer service at all.
Wonderful dinner and our server was absolutely amazing...waited on us like we were the only people in the restaurant. Really enjoyed our evening!

I had dinner here while a guest of the hotel. Union Grille is easily the best restaurant within considerable driving distance of Fort Benton. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was very good. The trout entree/main course was excellent, although the portion size could have been an ounce or two bigger. The wine list was extensive and very reasonably priced. Service was attentive and what you'd expect for the price. All things considered, zero complaints. I will return.
Family celebration! Thank you!!!Always our favorite restaurant when we visit FB!

This small restaurant rivals many of the “fancy” restaurants in Las Vegas. It was obvious that the food was prepared with thought and care. My mother loved the pork loin and I never thought I’d try sturgeon but it was delicious! The view of the river was great and I cannot stress how amazing the service was. A must dining spot when visiting the quaint town of Fort Benton!

This is a fantastic Restaurant in historic Fort Benton Montana. The duck proscuto and arugula salad is excellent. Ribeye is the only way to go in cattle country, cooked to perfection and sustainable when it comes from down the road. This is not New York or California so dont expect an elaborate wine list or cocktail lounge. The wine list is simple and solid. To have a meal like this in an historic hotel on this remote outpost on the Missouri River is really a great travel experience.
Amazing food and good service! The steak was cooked right, good flavor and tender.
Union Grille is the restaurant inside the Grand Union Hotel right in downtown Fort Benton on the banks of the Missouri River. The restaurant positions itself as upscale, fine dining. There aren't many comparable restaurants in this part of Montana. We would have liked a trout or fish main course option, as the menu was very meat-focused. Our elk appetizer was huge. The airline chicken was good. The appetizer was probably big enough for a main course. The wine list was excellent with very reasonable prices. For hotel guests, breakfast was basically nonexistent. The breakfast offering when we stayed was limited to coffee, some fruit and sugary breakfast breads. That's it. We expected more. We would return if staying at the hotel or in the local area.
Steak was cooked perfectly! Very delicious, tender, and juicy. Soup was nice on this brisk evening. I’ll certainly stop in again soon!
When we were visiting Great Falls for a few days, we spent a day in Fort Benton and we ate dinner in this historic hotel. Our dinners were delicious. I had a shrimp dish and my husband had a beef dish and both of them were excellent. The hotel is decorated as it would have been in its heyday and it was fun to eat in this setting. The hotel is situated right next to the river in a lovely grove of trees.
