We got food here. It was really quite good. We weren’t staying at the lodge, but down the street, so I can’t comment on the rooms.
I got the Old Fairthful burger. It was delicious and juicy. The rodeo burger my wife got was delicious. Kids got chicken tenders and a chicken quesadilla. The tenders were goods, but either the chicken quesadilla didn’t have any chicken in it, or there was just so much cheese we couldn’t find it.
The only downside is that they refuse to take to go orders over the phone. Apparently it’s a thing around here. I get not doing delivery, and it’s a small town, so having people come in to order and wait, maybe have a drink or two drinks up more business, but from a “traveling with a family and small kids” perspective, it’s pretty inconvenient.
Sat at the bar for dinner several times during my recent trip. Good local beers, food was ok except for an excellent shrimp poboy daily special. Nice service.
Long story short two different waiters repeatedly walked by me and refused to wait on me but did wait on other people with their same skin color. The Bartender finally came out and waited on me. Really felt like they did not want me at this Establishment. It was very Obvious.
The staff is very nice & friendly. The food is okay. The place itself fits to the lodge, antlers everywhere. A bit packed and you smell afterwards from food. It’s an okay place for a simple meal after a busy day.
Excellent elk meat loaf sandwich and fries!
I ordered three foods, but I waited my food for forty minutes more than, it’s crazy. My English is very poor, I used translate to help me asked my table service. She was very proactive in helping me. She said that actually the food at other tables had a longer waiting time than mine. I think this is a problem that the restaurant needs to pay attention to. Not every tourist is sitting at the bar enjoying a happy time. I was just very hungry and needed food.
Good burgers
My partner and I had the elk sandwich and the hangover burger.
The elk meat was HEAVENLY. I was smiling the entire time eating it. The egg in the hangover burger was perfectly acquainted with the meat. The fries were also magnificently seasoned. We also got the Lychee Kozo Seltzer which was absolutely delicious.
But most importantly of all, our waitress, Lily, was extremely attentive to us and we had such a great time. Thank you!
Great meals. The Elk Meatloaf was excellent.
The grill was amazing. The mama meatloaf is hands down some of the best food I’ve had in MT. Cora, Chance, Tina, Katie, and Eric gave me exceptional customer service and give that personal touch you’d expect from a small town grill. The chefs cooking was amazing, like I said. I’d hands down recommend visiting this place and getting one of the phenomenal servers above!
Restaurantji Recommends
We at at the restaurant but did not stay at the hotel as we were just driving through from the Park. Food was very good. Service was great. We had to ask one of the servers to stop vacuuming while we were eating.
Quick bison n cheese sub!
The service was great, our waitress was super helpful with local places to visit, quick and ready to help with refills and meal suggestions. The place had a great sandwich and burger. Recommend!
Great food. Great bartender. Highly recommend!
Friendly and fun. Great atmosphere and great food. The “summer tea” is yummy!
