“Perfect spot for a sit down with coffee or food to go. We went here every morning for to-go breakfast before adventuring in Yellowstone/surrounding area.Vegetarian options: Meat is added as an option to many dishes, so starts a vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Some GF options are available”
“We sought this food truck out after a dip in the Yellowstone Hot Springs and were so happy to see it open! There were several options that sounded tasty, but my friend and I opted for the nachos (bison and steak). We also had a bear's blood slushy ? and huckleberry lemonade. It was all fresh, delicious and filling! You also can't beat the view of the mountains from the picnic tables. After some disappointing meals in West Yellowstone and inside the park, this was a welcome reprieve.Note: we parked in the wide shoulder in front of the truck because it was hard to figure out how to get into the lot behind it.”
“Just wanted to share how great our experience was at Wonderland Cafe & Lodge. The staff made you feel like family and the food was amazing! Lane made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. We always enjoyed discussing our pups back home and what wildlife we had seen in the park each day. Seth and Jessica were great servers and the food was always great! We had a variety of their menu items and they were all outstanding. Can't wait to return next January and see everyone!”
“Our favorite place to eat in gardiner. Everything else seemed a bit over prices. But the coffee was solid, and the scones were good. The Bigfoot sandwich was my husband and my's favorite!”
“Such a great spot for burgers! Don’t sleep on the cheese curds. A girl from Wisconsin knows good curds and they have the best I’ve ever eaten! Worth the higher price point!”
“After a long 28-hour road trip from Atlanta, my buddy and I went looking for food. Although every restaurant in Gardiner seems to close at 8pm, the Rusty Rail seemed as if it was our last but only option. Immediately upon walking in, I could tell this was a prime spot for more local residents to hang out in and mingle. As a newly 21-year old in college, who doesn’t prefer the EDM club atmospheres, this place has everything I was looking for: Coors banquet, elk chili (which was out of this world), rodeo and motocross on tv, and plenty of nice and talkative locals who love telling you about their humble town of Gardiner. We came back later in the week for more chili and a beer to end the day after 2 long hikes and getting stranded in the car for an hour in the morning. We met Mike, the bartender, who was more than kind enough to tell us about the bar and what brought him to Gardiner, as well as hear about our day, all throughout while we ate and while he maintained a busy crowd. At the end of the night before last call, we both spun the wheel (which has a 2nd smaller wheel inside of it) and both matched up two animals to get a free beer. Mike was more than happy to swap our beer chips out for two t-shirts which meant a lot to us. We will be back over the summer and will be recommending The Rusty Rail to everyone we know traveling to or through the town of Gardiner.”
“It was around 8:00 when we dined and to our advantage, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The bar downstairs had some people, but not upstairs in the main dining area. The building advertise pasta, but upon asking our server for pasta options, she said they were not serving any, so we went with pizza. The pizza was very good, but had a little too much sauce for my liking. The other pizza we ordered had chicken that was just too dry. It was crispy and flavorless, but the other pizza made up for it. I asked for some ranch and to my surprise, our server gives us four large cups of it! The service was great and the food was good as well.”
“We stayed at mammoth hotel for 2 nights and hence we had both night's dinner at Mammoth Dining room. It gets very busy during dinner hours, so better to go early and reserve table. The staff is very accommodating and listens to your food concerns and suggests whatever they have on menu considering your restrictions. Kids menu has lot of options as well. We did have good experience and it is the beautiful restaurant inside the park, which makes it more worth the visit. Its walking distance across the road from mammoth hot springs trails. Considering very limited options of restaurants inside the huge Yellowstone park, this place does great job!”
“We stayed at Mammoth Hot Springs hotel for 2 nights and we visited this place for both days morning breakfast time. They have fairly good amount of options and the seating is huge, so wouldn't find difficulty in grabbing a table. Good option for takeout's too while visiting Mammoth Hot Spring trails. Considering very limited options of restaurants inside the huge Yellowstone park, this place does great job!”
