Cowboy's Lodge and Grille Reviews
It's a slow time of year.... so maybe not staffing is normal? There were 2 tables that had their food. A 2.5 top walked in at the same time as us (another 2 top) 40 minutes to get our drink. It was breakfast... we ordered mimosas. "Real orange juice" held in a milk jug kept conveniently on the counter for ease of use I'm sure. Sadly, this is a tourist trap! food wasn't good and it was pricey. Service was slow. While our server was very nice he seemed more concerned with a good review rather than making sure that was the true. I will say the outdoor patio, little bar and stage is very cool. Skip for meals, go for cool bevy and music.
Frozen bison patties were not good. The cheese curds were the best thing we had!

The menu features traditional dishes that are good, simple, and generous, with customers highly recommending the bison burgers and chicken tenders. The restaurant is known for its amazing slow-cooked ribs and breakfast options like the bacon, cheese, potato, and egg skillet, which are not to be missed. Visitors enjoy the lively atmosphere, especially with live music while waiting to be seated, and can choose between inside and outside dining, with outside music adding to the fun. The place is small and located on the corner of Gardiner, MT, but its cozy setting makes it feel welcoming. Service is quick and friendly, with staff like Haman and Tara providing excellent attention, including helpful and prompt service, and even remembering returning guests. The restaurant also offers great local beers, Rodeo Fries topped with wild game chili and cheese, country fried chicken with gravy, Mac cheese/Pork appetizer, and Country Fried Steak, all highly praised for their deliciousness. Parking can be a challenge, but the overall experience with good food, great service, and a lively atmosphere makes it well worth a visit.
