Moose Creek BBQ is a standout spot for delicious barbecue. The brisket is a highlight, with flavorful sides to match. The restaurant offers a variety of meats, including prime rib, ribs, and burnt ends, all smoked to perfection. The sides are also a hit, with options like fried green tomatoes, onion rings, and cornbread. The burnt ends are a particular favorite, with huge chunks of meat that literally melt in your mouth. The restaurant also offers a range of sauces, including a spicy option for those who like a little heat.
Recently, the two person sampler was ordered, with the brisket and pulled pork being highlights, both juicy with solid smoke flavor and tender. The rib tips had a good cook but a metallic undertone. The brisket was tender and juicy with a nice amount of fat. The pulled pork had a nice crust, great texture and flavor. Turkey was excellent and Smokey. Tri Tip was excellent and cooked perfectly. Gouda Bites are now a mandatory order. Jalapeño Cornbread was just right and not dry. The atmosphere has a classic home style mom and pop vibe, though some found it simply dated. Appetizers were solid, including Gouda Bites and tater skins. Portions were enough to make a second meal. The BBQ was fair in flavor. The staff was friendly, though might have been short one person.
